what made our past leaders(visionless) to make India a secular country? consider India a Hindu country, then what could have happened?

What is your definition of a Hindu? British defined everybody in India as a Hindu except the Muslims and Christians. Some Aryanists claim Hindu means vedic/Sanskrit culture. Is it? Majority of Indians are racially dravidians, and their culture is Indus-Dravidian culture. They worshiped Siva, Kali, and nature. The Yoga philosophy is a Dravidian philosophy. The Vedic culture is popularised only after Ramanuja through Bhakti movement starting from 10th century. You have to be careful when you say Hindu, Aryan Hindu or Dravidian Hindu!

Yeah Visu, be clear about what Hindu you are speaking about: Kannada Hindu, Marathi Hindu, Telugu Hindu, Tamil Hindu, Kanyakumari Tamil Hindu, tirunelveli tamil hindu, madurai tamil hindu, tiruchi tamil hindu, coimbatore tamil hindu, Madras tamil hindu, alwarpet tamil hindu, adayar tamil hindu, anna nagar tamil hindu, thiruvallikeni tamil hindu, thirupathi telugu hindu, tirupathi tamil hindu, vijayawada telugu hindu, bangalore kannada hindu, bangalore tamil hindu, bangalore telugu hindu, bangalore malayali hindu, bangalore marathi hindu, malleswaram kannada hindu, samarajapet kannada hindu, cannanore malayali hindu, palakad malayali hindu, bihari hindu etc... we don't want to talk about the "wrong" kind of Hindus....
