TAMIL LANGUAGE & SOCIAL STATUS

All times in EST +10:30 for IST.
All Tamils throughout the World -"should always speak in Tamil Language" - with the other fellow Tamils.
The God, or any Prophet, or any World Religion, never said that it was "below the dignity" of the Tamils - to speak in Tamil - with the other Tamils, but only in the "Accent filled Elocution English" - with a forethought that it is only then they will command the respect of the other Tamils in the Society and be able to move forward in the elite circles, "imitating as persons coming from the socially highly reformed Tamil families".
English is only a Language of communication used by us to converse with the other Communities of the World speaking different Languages, and to communicate with each other in respect of Trade, Science, Technology, Social and Cultural Exchanges etc, etc.
Hence I call upon the "very foolish thinking" among the Tamils throughout the World who live on false sense of values, to "respect the English Language" only as a universal communication Language and not as the Language of "Social Status".
Hence be proud - to talk and communicate with all Tamils throughout the World in Tamil Language, that too if possible in beautiful "Elocution Tamil", and to talk in English Language, "only" with those who have as their mother tongue a different Language other than Tamil, and thereby not knowing to converse in Tamil Language.
Always be proud - to "speak in Tamil" with any other Tamil, and also to "behave socially" as a Tamil - whether you are in TamilNadu, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore or in other parts of the World including USA, Canada, England, Australia or New Zealand.. This very thought should be instilled in every Tamil’s mind from their childhood days no matter in which part of the World he is currently living in,to ensure the Tamil Language & Culture will not perish for ever - within the very next decade.

Once you remove Sanskrit and Sanskritic Hinduism from India, India becomes one and united.
It is the constant rampage of Sanskritists on the native cultures and tongues that causes them to retaliate. Sometimes splinters hit the bystanders.
The problem should be tackled at the root.

Hello Sri Hari:
Although I can sympathize with you sentiment, I can not agree. We are trained in English. At work, in the media, and among others we communicate in English. Thus, our logic associates with English more comfortably than Tamil. At times, it is not possible to communicate in Tamil even if you want to. For instance, let say you are conversing with a fellow Tamil about computers, and doing so in English is much more convenient and effective than in Tamil. Thus, speaking in Tamil is not just a "social status" issue. It is also a practicality issue. Some people don't consider "social status" issue when they speak in English; although, unconsciously that issue may be there.

Just as India there are diversity of people in all countries, including Indonesia, China, etc. Corrections: BTW out of the 200 million people of Indonesia, more than 100 million are Javanese, who have their own language. But Sukarno due political reasons chose Malay (which is a minority language in Indonesia, but a important trading language in Malay Archipelago) renamed Bahasa indonesia and it is the offical language of Indonesia (and also the national language of Malaysia -that has over 50 native languages; Brunei and also Singapore - proabably the only country in the world where only 15% of the population can speak it). In addition there are also 5 million Indonesian Chinese and about 50,000 Indonesian tamils - mainly in Medan, due to past government policy only speak Bahasa Indonesia/Malay.
How about the 500,000 Tamils in Burma that nobody cares, where Tamil is in a ban state since the 1960s and as a result Burmese Tamils have adopted Burmese names and speak Burmese. Good for natioal unity I guess!!!!
I am sure Mandarin (commonly called Chinese by the west) is not the language of the majority in China but due to government policy, all non Mandrin Chinese people have become Mandarin speakers! I guess the pressure is on Hong Kong government to convert the education system from cantonese language to Mandarin language. One have to live in the country to see how language becomes a political tool.

ALL INDIANS ARE OF THE SAME MAKE. CAUCASIAN.
most of the indians are not fair compared to other people in the world due to sun tanning. Dravidians are Aryans who settled quite early and so they are brown or kind of dark compard to the couunterparts (aryans)

SOME OF THE LATEST FINDINGS
i) caste in ancient india was based on character rather than color or birth. eg) thieves were assumed lowest caste
ii) dark people and non brahmins ruled india especially the south infact they constituted many brahmins. So there is no doubt that dark brahmins who are present today were existing even before a 2000 years as brahmins.
iii) dravidian kings ruled south india
I want arguments only on the above issues. I dont want some one to say the same story that black people are inferior or i hate christian missionaries or i dont like south indian people and blah blah. So, i expect some argument only on the three isssues.

Sri Hari,
What you say is absolutely correct.
But , we need to brign this from basics. Many of Tamil peopel, does not know the value, the might, the treasures of Tamil. Made understand that they will automatically respect our language rather than anything else.

Dr.Idiappan:'Once you remove sanskrit and Hinduism India will be united'
What a brilliant observation. Goddess gusboo would not have thought of it.You are a credit to backwardness. As Tamil Ninja once quoted Dr. Thiru EE vay Ra "There are too many Indians in in India. Once you kill all the Indians India will become a peaceful country'.
