I wish we had a bridge, let me tell you all the north people are calling tamilian 'elichavayan' and taking Tamilians for granted!!!
Tamilians are Confused Desis in their own tamil land!!! support or not to support srilankan tamils.
JJ should be banished for talking against srilankan tamil.

Now it is too late. Oh puleeeze........we don't want Rajinikanth to rule us.

Dear Uncle AJ
"Now it is too late. Oh puleeeze........we don't want Rajinikanth to rule us."
I entirely agree. Why have a pushover like Rajinikanth as the National Leader when there are great terrorist leaders like The Erumai who would make excellent statesmen. With a Bridge between Nadu and Eelam, we can spread terrorism far and wide. Please consider this idea Uncle.

We Tamils who live in Srilanka have to make up our minds as to our LOYALTY ARE we South Indians Or Srilankans. We have more in common with the Sinhalese than with the south Indian Tamils. In my student life in Jaffna I was so frustrated with my own people. We cannot launch our own Tamil Magazines .We could not compete with the KALKI, ANANDA VIHADAN KUMUTHAM,AND VARIOUS OTHER TAMIL magazines which were pouring into jaffna. We completely depended on the south Indians for our culture, We do not have our own identity. With all the respect to Tamilnad ,we Jaffna people should keep away from Tamil Nad and build good relations with our SIHALESE people

I think the Sri Lankans are no different than indians so much so that i feel that srilanka should be another indian state. afterall it would benifit them and all of humanity. this will in effect get rid of the LTTE issue of tamil homeland. they can get back to TN and anywhere in India as they will become indian citizens. also the lankans can take immense pride in getting citizenship of one of the future superpowers of this world. this is their chance. grab it or for all cry.

The bridge may be parts of Lemuria or kumari kandam rather than man made bridge. They may be a string of natural islands.

To Mr. Sri Srikant,
Very rarely does one see replies that voices nationalistic pride, that in my view, breaks the barriers of race and culture. Myself being South Indian and purely nationalistic as well, I see myself as an Indian alongside me being a mallu/Tamil. It is great stuff to see Sri Lankans like you who still pursue unity with the Singhalese and have pride in calling yourself a Sri Lankan instead of cluttering yourself into the vast South Indian diaspora. Kudos to you !

Hmzzzz...What would happen to the SINHALA culture in the long-run if India was to be United with Sri lanka ?
Nowadays in the Colombo we already have Sinhala girls wearing Potu's on their forehead. The Sinhalese tv stations are playing more HINDI and Tamil movies & Music than Sinhala..........
I don't think India has already cast its shadow over Sri lanka....So much that now you even have Tuc-Tuc drivers in Colombo sporting an Indian flag.
Lets cut the Sinhalese some slack and give them the chance to do something with their culture before it becomes extinct.

well there was a bridge.
but rama and hanuman just made a small extension connecting the already (previously )present natural link. It would be like a miki mouse project.
Before that ancient people used to travel by boats and rafts to srilanka coz its very near.
in their language trade.lol

They very idea of "Sethu Samudram" is to destroy evidence that Ramayana happened.
It is not for welfare of Tamils.
It is anti Hindu move.
US satelite and experts say it was man made.
Why this Dravidian movment scientist disagree with that?
For other things they want scientific approach.
Why cant they date this bridge?
They wont
coz it is against them.
ok
no problem.
The truth will always prevail.

The brahmins posting some nuisance in this forum are just the desciples or offsprings of evil ravana the evil brahmin king. i dont say all brahmins are bad
rama was a kshatria. Well as i gave u all a rigorous proof about who is a kshatria in india (especially north and south). I dont know about north, but in south we (non brahmins) are were the kshatrias. Gods and idols are dark in south india.
Why dont u (brahmins) all stop being like ravana and just worship us (non brahmins like rama)???

why cant we all look at this bridge as a positive thing for our economy? it will increase trade, jobs for grad students and reduce the cost of living in SL.we already have indian culture in us, as well as western culture so why dont we allow our counrty to get out of this depression? as for unity, once the bridge is made i hope tamils and sinhalese will unite to keep our OWN status as sri lankans. the bridge is a good idea as long as the war does not break out again!

there is no bridge between srilanka and india.where hanuman did study civil engineering course to build the bridge?.
brahmain texts say that raman was flying by 'pushpakka vimana'to srilanka to rescue sita.see this fraud story created by brahmins.had rama flied first by pushpakka viman, you baastard brahmins should have proved it.this is not vedic period to make many rumours and collect money in the temples.only for brahmins it is possible to bring rain ,to stop rain by doing marriage between between turtles, donkeys and crows.
oh fool brahmins!!!!!if two donkeys are married rain will not come ,but another small donkey will be born

acharya,
Post your comments under some other name. U are doing a great injustice to the name "acharya" by your filth.
That there is a bridge between India & S/L has been clearly proved by the pictures taken by NASA satellites. They have also available in the net.
So, do not jump to conclusions. U can always post your filth against brahmins in another forum. This topic is not the place for that. There is a time & a place for everything.

The so-called Hanuman Bridge are sandbanks that extend from the island of Manaar, near the NW coast of Sri Lanka to the island of Rameswaram. Some of these are dry and no part of it has depth greater than 3 or 4 feet at high water, except for three navigational channels.
