Hi,
I am making a list of traditional landlord or zamindari communities. These communities are responsible for the implementation of Caste system very firmly in Hindu mind.

As I know:
Nair
Reddy
Pillai
Mudaliar

  Mudaliar and Pillai are not landlord or zamindari communities. A few might have been, but not on a large scale as Reddys and Chettiars. Don't know about Nairs though.

  what exactly do we mean by "tradition" Land owning is a rotational thing. In Tamilaham there have been instances of kings from the Kuravar community which is unimaginable today. Those who were owning Land 1000 years ago are different from those who owned 500 years ago.
