dowry is something which has to be stopped. but it cannot be abolished overnight. can anyone tell me which are the castes actively involved in dowry system. among the chettiars and reddies, who indulges in paying more dowry??

  Usually the reddies do. Many castes have given up dowries. coming from the vellAla caste, i know that dowry is a long gone tradition. But it still continues about dalits, christians and moslems.
