In North American non profit organizations like CRY, ASHA etc I have seen tamil brahmins in dispropotionatly large numbers working for the betterment of poor people back home. Perhaps that is the way they want to contribute to India. OTOH NBs are in dispropotionatly large numbers in internet flaming forums. Perhaps that is way they think they can contribute to their homeland.
