Dear Readers,
Many Tamil Poets (Kavignars) of the twentieth century TamilNadu have composed songs for the TamilNadu Film Industry over a period of time, some of which should be preserved and documented without being forgotton and lost, after the particular Film is screened and goes out of the theatres leaving room for new ones, for the benefit of the future generation who value and appreciate poetic works in Tamil of literary value.

We had many Kavignars earlier - outstanding among them being Kavignar Kannadasan, and presently too we have outstanding Kavignars like Vairamuttu, Vaali in this line, among others.

I am appending below for the benefit of those who value and appreciate Tamil compositions of poetic and literary value, a song composed about 30 to 40 years back for a Film the name of which I cannot now remember, but it was sung in this Film by the great playback singer Thiru T.M.Soundararajan. The Kavignar who composed this song too I am presently not sure (could it be Kavignar Kannadasan ???). Will anyone who knows postitively who composed same advice me through this columns. Thank You.

  Yes, Mr. S. Sri Hari's comment is correct. This song was by Kavinger Vali and the film is Poova thaliya.
  
  The recent song of Thanjavooru mannu eduthu in film porkkalam could be the sequal of this song. (Sorry Cheran your type of theme song KB has did already)
