Can someone please enlighten me on this particular subject? I need to know how and where the Hindi agitation started, what happened during the course of the agitation, the riots and other incidents and finally, how it "ended". If one you does know, please give me some credible sources (preferably books and newspaper articles) to back up your account. No stupid and irrelevant comments, please. And no internet sources (unless they are credible, unbiased and objective). Thank you.

  If you develop tamil nadu economically, you don't have to go to hindi lands for jobs. Reduce the dependence on government jobs and develop private sector.why does everyone want government jobs?   People, people, people! I need to know if there is anyone who really knows anything about this subject i.e. the Anti-Hindi agitation. I have been on the website that was mentioned by Mr. Nedunchezhiyan, but I need some scholarly work from journals or books. I am not denying that what the author of the Tamil Tribune has written is not scholarly, but I am looking for something that has citations and bibliographies and in particular, I would like works written on the student movement during the agitation. Thank you all, for your help, and by the way, this thread was not intended to start a war between North India and South India.

  There aren't really any "scholarly works" on those days in Indian POlitical History. My strongest suggestion to you is to read the Tamil tribune (god forgive me for suggesting this) and try to eliminate the bias in those writings. I've read them as well. They seem to be pretty good, other than the immense bias put into the articles, and the hidden intention of it. I suggest you go to the DMK and MDMK and AIADMK websites. The last time I checked the DMK website out, they had a whole section on that. Here's the DMK website if you want

  If dravdians are not Hindi and they cannot be hindu also. Simple fact. But hypocracy of Tamilians is that they accepted hinduism but not hindism. They need to get rid of both and adopt their original religion of thiruvalluvar (shraman religion)
