Hello Santa Claus!
Welcome back old friend!
//MAY ALL OF US MEDITATE AND PRAY FOR UNIVERSAL PEACE //
Mankind is the only species on earth that strives day and night seeking the extermination of it's own species. Where is the chance for peace?

Santa was one of the useful contributors to this forum. Unfortunately my constant fights with RSS cadres aruvaal and karuvayan disgusted him and he stopped posting. I am glad he is back now.

//Mankind is the only species on earth that strives day and night seeking the extermination of it's own species//
The only reason for that is christianity and islam do not believe any religion other than theirs is true. here in starts the conflict.

Hi Santa,
And thanks for your thread.
Karu, the official Catholic stand is:
"The Catholic Church recognizes in other religions that search, among shadows and images, for the God who is unknown yet near since he gives life and breath and all things and wants all men to be saved. "Catechism of the Catholic Church.

Thank you brothers and sisters for your kind words.
When each one of us blame another or an outside source for our actions, this whole cycle of abuse and counter-abuse will never end.
I wish to share with you something I got from an email. I leave you with these thoughts:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The 90/10 secret is incredible!
Very few know and apply this secret. The result? Millions of people are suffering undeserved stress, trials, problems, and heartache.
They never seem to be a success in life. Bad days follow bad days. Terrible things seem to be constantly happening. Theirs is constant stress, lack of joy, and broken relationships.
Worry consumes time, anger breaks friendships, and life seems dreary and is not enjoyed to the
fullest.. Friends are lost. Life is a bore and often seems cruel.
Does this describe you? If so, do not be discouraged. You can be different!. Understand and apply the 90/10 secret. It will change your life!
What is this secret?
10% of life is made up of what happens to you.
90% of life is decided by how you react.
What does this mean?
We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us.
We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane may be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic.
We have no control over this 10%.
The other 90% is different.
You determine the other 90%!
How?
By your reaction.
You cannot control a red light, but you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool you, YOU can control how you react!
REMEMBER FRIENDS! Don't let someone else CONTROL you!!!

ooops!! SC, I did not see the "90-10 secret" here :(, I just read it in the other thread and straight away came and posted here, requesting you to reproduce the same. Only now I realised that you've done it already :) .

Kumar, you might just be one of the few catholics who recognise the virtues of other religions. But one can't certainly say that for the majority of the christians and the muslims. One Abdul Kalam and one K J Yesudass do not speak for the entire community. I can say that that majority of hindus recognise and chant "Eshwar Allah Tero Nam", but serioulsly can we expect christians and muslims to chant "Yesuvum Vasuvum Onnu Daan" (picked from the movie Nala Damayanti) and "Rahmaan or Raam ek hai"?

Santa,
Thanks again for the 90/10 post. I'll remember this and spread the word.
Karu,
""but serioulsly can we expect christians and muslims to chant "Yesuvum Vasuvum Onnu Daan" (picked from the movie Nala Damayanti) and "Rahmaan or Raam ek hai"?""
You are right; many won't concede to this. But if you looked hard enough, then yes you will find these people. They are hard to come by, but they exist. Or at least, you will find muslims and christians who will recognise that the God that all people are searching for is one and the same.
PS: Yaar antha duplicate Karuvayaan?

SC,
Thanks for the nice mantras.
Here is a couple other universal prayers I want to provide here:
Gayatri mantra:
Om bhoor bhuvaswaha tat savitur varenyam
bhargo devasyadhi mahi dhiyo yo naha prachodhyate
Om apo jyotirasomrutam brahma bhoor bhuwaswarom
Sarvadharma aaratthi*:
Om Tat Sat Sri Narayana Tu Purushottama Guru Tu
Siddha Buddha Tu Skanda Vinayaka Savita Pavaka Tu.
Brahma Mazda Tu Yahwa Shakthi Tu Yesu Pita Prabhu Tu
Rudra Vishnu Tu Rama Krishna Tu Rahima Tao Tu
Vasudeva Go Vishwaroopa Tu Chidananda Hare Tu
Advitya Tu Akala Nirbhaya Atmalinga Shiva Tu
*Although the Sarvadharma Aaratthi has had long association as a Sai Bhajan, I feel that it is a song all people can use as it portrays the Divine in ALL faiths.
