There is a lot of truth in what you said, but I beg to differ on one issue. I don't know if you have visited soc.culture.india and soc.culture.tamil. There was so much venom and vitriol spewed by our brahamans there, that I got so disgusted that I became a full time brahmin basher.

The only thing that ever mattered to them was reservations - nothing else. They were the only patriotic Tamils, every one else was a renegade. And if you happen to be a Tamil from outside of India, they were even more viulently aginst you. If you happened to be a Tamil from SriLanka, then you are their enemy #1.

I would not exactly categorize non-brahmin Tamils, as lazy. They are less ambitious than brahmins, simply because they have been indoctrinated into not believing in themselves. They have to rediscover their culture and the importance of education in furthering their lot. It is changing, though slowly. The very fact that reservations issue has become the sole topic of discussion among brahmins, portends of positive changes in the thinking of non-brahmin Tamils towards education. Heck, despite all the alleged mediocrity in education, TN is still among the top two or three in industrial and economic advances in India.

You might have had the comfort of being born as son to a zamindar father who realized the value of education and brought up in US, please don't write us off. We are as good as any in the world.

Thus, the NB's are not as motivated to work hard because things are going to well for them. HOwever I agree with you on one thing, the superiority compex of tamil brahmins. I know a tamil brahmin fob with a shade of skin lighter than me and he was trying to treat me like a second grade guy when he found out I was tamil and NB. Ive noticed a lot of tamil brahmin families act real funny around NB tamils in USA. The older generations especially always mumble "shudra". THere is one Hindu temple I know of where a fight started between Brahmins and NOn brahmin tamils, because some brown skinned brahmin called a NB a karuppan. Can you believe it? This guy was like one shade lighter,lol. Its been ingrained into them that they are better than NB's so I guess you cannot really hold it against them. Id say the older generation of tamil brahmin immigrants into USA are much much worse than the newer generation.

P.S. My pops may have come from a jamindar family, but they were all illiterates who were worthless and could only collect rent to make a living. If not for brahmins who made my dad strive to be better, he would have been another vethala paak chewing loser. So although I do find the attitudes of many brahmins obnoxious and casteist, especially their ridiculous thinking of them as a seperate race. IVe had blackskinned flatnosed short brahmins try to tell me they are aryans,lol. Anyways their determination and ambition is very much something that all NB's could look upto.

  Finally I got to be interviewed by Anna U. for admission.There were two people on the panel Thiru Dr. Periachami Azhgan and Thiru Dr. Chinnasamy Azghan.Dr. Periachamy Azhgan was younger and more qualified Both of them had acted in about 20 movies but Dr. Periachamy A. had a speaking role in his latest movie. In the movie Sathiaraj stops at a tea stall and asks for a cup of Tea and Dr. Periachamy replies in oerfect diction 'Surri saar. That made him a celebrity at Anna U.
  This is how it went.The interview was in Tamil.
  Dr. C.A.: Why were you late?
  Tony: Saar, I was late cause I had to stop at EVR samadhi and kusboo temple.
  The interviewers were pleased at the answer and looked at each other.
  Have you got any certificates?
  At this time I produced prints of what Dr. No brain, Dr. Butler and Dr. Hero have said about me on this forum. They looked at each other and smiled.
  DR. PA: Even Dr. Neo morpheus has called you an idiot. That is the highest compliment a human can receive as we thought that Dr. Neo Morpheus is the greatest person as he has no brain cells at all.Atleast Dr. Tamilian was potty trained when he joined Anna University.

Part of it is my fault.In one of the interviews I was asked who is Mega Star?. I said MGR and the interviewer took an offense. I should have said 'Puratchi Talaivar, Mega Shtar,Thiru Dr. Yum See AAR' with respect and not just MGR. Unfortunately I cannot pass for a backward even though I have disguised myself , tried to look blank, gone to interview in my underwear with paint all over my tummy,p-s-ed in the interview hall but still they say I am not backward enough because I did not need backward certificate to pass 8th grade.I pray to goddess kusboo everyday that if, I am born again, I should be born not with a frog,s brain, but with Tamilian 1 brain.If you have one look at Tamilian 1, even at 200 feet you could say 'there goes a backward'.Some people are so lucky with that idiot look and fecal brain.

  p.siddarth will never change! I don't know what does he plan to accomplish writing the same crap again and again. May be his crap may keep ranga humored, but it makes a lot of people very mad. It is time people like p.siddarth (aka Tony) realize that his nonsense only helps create more Madurai Veerans. This will, of course, fall on deaf ears.

  If there are more madurai veerans it will be a blessing. That is what we want.As per Newsweek 2 weeks ago on Autism the incidence in U.S. is 160 per 1000. In T.N. it is 98% and going up.As far as kickking the rear end- that is the only thing that backwards can do and I am not going to take away the pleasure from you. You have excited Dr. No brain by that comment and he can be dangerous.I am enjoying it and it has become hard to get you out of the closet these days.
  By the way- I am not between 50 and 60yrs old and have never been and am not now a pediatrician. I have relatives who are pediatricians.That is your backward guess.
