Common language is not essential for unity of a nation. Why is that despite having the same language(Arabic) and religion(Islam), Saudi Arabia, Kuwait,Libya, Algeria, Egypt , Syria are totally at loggerheads and hostile toward each otehr?

Unity in India is a pipes dream because India is not a homogenous nation. We are a multi-ethnic nation.India is a nation among many nations.Unity in India is a hoax.A myth.We are worse than the Arabs !

>>>>Common language is not essential for unity of a nation.<<<<
No.it is urgent and essential.!!!
Commen language not only wash away the misunderstanding but also will instil understanding.
Learning common language doesn't mean, one should ignore owns mother tongue.
Now the Question is Which language?
( take for example - within india)
Hindi - Of course , south would not agree.
Tamil - Of course , North would not agree.
Than people start to ask Why not telugu,or Gugarati or sanskirt or etc....?
Then How? Can we create a common LANGUAGE?
ISN'T too late? Not sure!
Frequently we read Newspapers of someone Who has learned many of the languages. Seldom we wonder the waste of time to master in many languages. In some countries, National language run into opposition with regional language loyalties. Violent clashes may occur, and protest against what such people call " an imposed language".
So each person, appears instanly to object to the choice of any language other than his own.
CHINA has many dialect or regional language but they all mosty the writting is ONE!!!
They can get info faster than indian!!
If indian PM tells something,it has to translate in many language to reach all.Need so much effort!
MOVIE: i needless is to say anything! you can perceive!!! 1 film well hits the industry, other repeat the same in other language. Why waste of time? Why we all can't enjoy the movie? Why we need same movie in our own mother tongue, moreover actor (Hero) must be a same race or caste?
why? Why? Why?
I say, my choice is English?
Some say, No it is a foreign import!!!
Other countries thinks, India very good in English! can we communicate freely every part of india ? Can we travel without fear to any part of iindia with only one language?

Those who say that common language is needed for unity, tell me why:
1. Argentina, Chile , Paraguay, Uruguay speak spanish, why dont they form a single nation?
2. Why is that despite same language(english) US and canada are not united into single nation?
3. Why is that despite common language and culture, Australia and New Zealand are not single nations?
4. Why is that despite common language, Iraq went to war with Kuwait? Despite common language, Taiwan is against China, North Korea and South Korea are at war with one another?
5. Why is that despite common language, Germany and Austria remain separate nations?
6. And how is that despite having 30 languages, the European countries are uniting into a single currency(Euro) and a single common wealth, with no border restrictions and creating a kind of common union or super nation! All without compromising on their respective languages!
Language is just one aspect that defines a culture. Nation is not just about culture and langauge, but about economics too. Understand that. A punjabi and Tamilian may dress differently, speak different langauge and follow different religion. But there are big similarites in our lifestyle our behaviour etc... the characteristics like joint family, or large village based population, caste/community feelings, diversity etc are uniform acrosss india. In Patiala or Pollachi, you find a bullock cart and people using tractors to travel for a wedding. A tamil film is better understood by north indian than a english film... vice versa a hindi film can be understood by tamilian without knowing the language. That is india. We adjust and understand our people without knowing other person's language.
