Guys,

I would like to know Tamil Kulasamies. Was it
derived from the brahmin Ishta theivams/thevathais. Or they took it from Tamil/Dravidian people. How the other dravidians
like Kannadas/mallayalees/Telugus have their
Kulasamies. I am very eager to know this since
it might bring a lot from our culture.

In our village I know a kulasamy called
Ariyanathar. You can see a threating statue
of a warrior in horse lifting its legs. anybody
knows his tales?

  Surya...stop watching more movies man. Virumadi is just a film..which was directed by a dravidian( or respect and wish to follow) to some extent. Very cleverly used kulachaami's in his movie; appreciated.
  There is a real big list of kulachaami's -ones I know other than the list mention before are raathakatari(Godess of anger and terror), gangamma (irrigational water godess).
  These worships are deviation of aryan form of idol worship by dravidian people - which underlines he ethinic integrity. These forms of worship are considered as tribal gods by brahmins.
  The song "koothaiya vittu veetaiku poogum SUDAMADA CHAAMI" in thaiamma is a good one. U have a another chaami showing up here.
