Does any one know the significance of the kolam, and the toe ring worn by married women?

  Thamizhans aren't Indians. Thamizh people have their unique identity as an Independant Community with history, tradition and language and land mass! We do not need to hang on anyone's tail to identify our self even if we are low in numbers. Look at Israel, the jews withstand with just merely 3.5 millions Jews around the World or so. Look at us Thamizhans, our population is more than 80 millions but we don't have a country. There is about 10 million Greeks and yet they have a country in Europe. You could see the discrimination toward Thamizhars and the lack of co-operation and stupidity of Thamizh people and Thamizh politicans that have made us stand on somebody elses leg even though we have our own!

  I am sure that the Thamizhars in TN and in Thamizheezham, atleast most of them wear saaris and maybe not much of 'vaetis' due to the influence of 'saram.' You could wear 'saelai' or 'vaeti' at home. We need to gain a country for ourself then things could change in a positive way. Under foreigners influence and 'modernization' everything could fade away in years to come if we don't have a country of our own.

  This is what is today known as Tamil culture.

  There is a ruling from Supreme Court that there r no Kshaktriyas in Souther India.
  Out of grace, the court said let the outsiders to Varnasram be Sudras. No probs.
  A mangolian, african, caucasian who follow Hinduism will never fall under Varnasram.
  So r the Dravidians.
  They said "Let them too be in Varnasram, but let them always be Sudras"
  Okay.
  They choice to follow and not to follow Varnasram is all in ur hand.
  If u leave Hinduism, it wont be a loss to real Hinduism.
  The parasites should wither off someday.

  Undress the indian culture from them and let them wear their African Culture. The only possible way perhaps is to post them back to Africa. They have been wearing Indian labels for too long to th point of wanting to claim that it belongs to them when we and they know what belongs to them. What a way to steal the identity of anothers culture! I wear western clothes, because I migrated into a western culture, but would I claim it as my cultural heritage, certainly not.
