Why is there lacking a unified view of Dravidian language and culture? And how do you achieve this?

The states on the south of India share a common characteristic. They were defined based on the predominant Dravidian languages of most of the people of the province. Many are unaware of connections between the languages and other elements what can be termed Dravidic culture. I have heard ludicrous statements made by many southern Indians saying that their language was born from Sanskrit. Why is there such a depressing lack of awareness? Are Tamils also guilty in not being inclusive in their effort to assert the Dravidian identity? Why is the desire to assert the Dravidian identity more pronounced among Tamils than say the Kannadigas, the Malayalees, the Telugus, the Tuluvas. [Here I'm not even talking about the other pockets of Dravidian languages that exist in other parts of India.] Is there lack of a well-defined Dravidian
identity? Are many even aware of this identity?
I invite people to share their views. It would be very interesting and stimulating if the different language speakers weighed in.

My friend, it is because the non-tamil south indians are becoming more integrated with the north. They don't identify as much with the whole dravidian identity like tamils.
Perhaps tamils need to come out of their isolation and join the rest of the country...

Parpanas are the worst criminals I have seen in my life. I am first a tamilian. Can you spot some parpanans really fighting for Tamils? Punnahai the question is for you. Ever since Independence these parpanans are interested in only writing caste stories and clashes, just to create a non unity in the midst of Tamils. The notorious Cho.Ramasamy, Subramaniansamy, T.N.Seshan, Shankarachary, Venkataraman the list goes on..

Sheshu,
Aama, ippo can we judge all the Non-Brahmins by what a Veerappan or a Karunanidhi does? No, we can't, same goes for Brahmins too. Besides, who is murdering the Dalits? Brahmins? no, it is the non-Brahmins if you want to lump all the non-brahmins in one group. So you see that doesn't work either. Blaming the Brahmins for everything in life and relaxing might soothe your ego, but it is not going to help anyone, because today's culprits are not Brahmins and it is today's culprits that need to be stopped. Also, don't forget people like U.V.S., Bharati and the numerous other Tamil Brahmins who have done yeoman service to Tamil culture. Also, don't forget your ordinary Brahmin who is trying to make a living just like you and me.
