Tamizh in Singapore and Malaysia

I like to know since when Tamizh has been spoken in Singapore and Malaysia. I guess it occupies a National language status in both these countries.
A question to Singapore /Malaysian Tamizhs:
Are there linguistic hatred among native tongue speakers in these countries because Tamizh is not originally from either of these 2 countries?

Thamil has been spoken in Malaysia and India since Indians from Tamil nadu first arrived in Singapore asd Malaysia . Its common sense u dont need Explanation. !!

Majority Of Tamil Speakers ( 90 % ) in Malaysia and Singapore are of South Indian Decent , u should know all this Prabhu , the rest of the 10 % are of Sri Lankan Decent .
