hello.
Lately i have been reading/hearing about telegus who have settled in TN and adopted Tamil* as their language AND who do not speak their actual mothertongue anymore. For e.g. Nayakars etc.
Are there any other groups?(Kannadigas & some others) I understand you can distinguish them* by their last names/caste/village names.
Can someone throw some light on this.
No fighting please..

Mr Rajesh, can you explain how you came to this conclusion? as i have said earlier, it is this attitude that "all came from tamil" that makes scholars not to take our claims seriously. what is wrong if tamil takes a few words from other languages? that is never going to denigrate tamil.
okay, theneer is then+neer. then butti? chaavi? alamari? kaidi? it is much better to accept reality for what it is. otherwise we will end up being like the dubious scholar i mentioned in another thread.
the tea was not introduced by the tamils, but by the chinese. the europeans took it from them, and introduced in india. it was the french who brought it to south india. tea is 'tchaey' in chinese, and 'tea' (pronounced 'thae') in french. thae+ neer = theneer.
thank god you did not claim the tamils introduced tea drinking. for your kind information, please do not at once jump on to question my tamil identity; i am a tamil of a thousand years and more descent.

I wonder if he is himself a tamil sometimes.May be a trouble maker. He said in the kannada/tamil thread he was not of tamil descent.Could be an outsider trying to give a bad image to tamils.

There is a popular theory that the dravadians originaly came from North West Africa. This may well be why South Indians look similar. I wonder if anyone has actualy took this up in DNA testing??
Tamil was the originl language of teh Dravadians and hence Telugu, Andhra and Malayalam are all deriviations of Tamils. All three only differ in the fact that they are highly influanced by Sanskrit. It is well known that for the last 2 milleniums the Arayan scholors have been trying very hardly to inluance Tamils with Sanskrit to create a hybrid langiage.
I was so dissipointed to read a previous post which suggested that without Bhramins our religion will not exist. The fact is we are Hindus but our form of Hidusium is Shaivism. This is the form practised by all teh Arayan decendents of Tamil Naadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra. According to our shivisam there isn't a caste system. Hence there is no need for Bhramins in our religion. Ofcourse due to the Arayan infulace Bhramins have become a part of culture in many states, but they are not neccessery in our religion.

DR.gopalan:
Instead of being called idiots would you prefer just 'backward' or are you denying that there are such people called backwards. You can also follow the No brain line that backwards really means super intelligent and genius. But again Neo morpheus has no brains and this is too complicated for him to understand.
