You didn't understand properly. Margazhi is a very bad month only. To reduce the bad power only, he takes the ownership. Its same like : Ashtami and Navami Thithi. They are bad as per hinduism. It was very bad previously, after Ram's birth in Navami and Krishnan's birth in Ashtamy, power has come down though its not possible to control fully.
Please do not try to find fault when you do not know the reality.

Peedai Krishna Bin Laden, Saint Andal has praised Kannan and Maargazhi Maasam.

http://www.ramanuja.org/sv/alvars/andal/tiruppavai.html
Watch the words:
"nan^thakOpan kumaran " & "yacOthai iLaNYciNGkam " &"naaraayaNanE "
All the above words indicate love towards Lord Krishna - the hero of the Mahabharata war and the 9th Avatara of Naarayana - Lord Vishnu.
This means that the ThirumAl of the sangam times is Very much Vishu and Krishna.
This also means that the Sangam Tamils worshipped Vedic gods such as Vishnu, Siva, Muruga, Ganapathi et al. The Vedas are praised in tamil literature and Vedic gods were worshipped by the Tamils.

Maargazhi is not a bad month. It is a great month as Andal herself Sang about the glory of that month.

That's another lie! When was Indra, the chief of the vedic gods (vedas are polytheistic) first mentioned in Tamil Literature?? And what do me mean by the 'Sangam Tamils'. What is the period of the last Sangam?? Questions for Karuvaayan, who pretends to know 'Sangam Tamils'. Others may answer too - to throw some light!

Uzhuvar = Indra. Besides there are tons of references to Indra in Manimekhalai.

there is a "oor indira vizhavu edutha kaadhai" in silappathikaram, if i am right.
gajabahu who took pattini cult to lanka lived in 150 AD. so kannagi is before that; so the worship of indra was known around 100 AD at the latest.

Polytheistic is a Christian term.It proves Idiappam is a christian masquerading as a Hindu.
Aslo Idiappam if you do not accept theistic interpretation of Vedas and prefer some historical and western centric and christian centric interpretation why shouldnt I go for the theistic interpretation.
How can you say your interpretation is correct ?

Christians and Max Muellar cannot claim any monopoly over the interpretation of Vedas and Upanishads. You cannot force people interpreting Vedas from a divine angle and say they are brahmins or Aryans. From the spiritual point of view Aryas and Dasyus are the forces of light and Darkness clashing. You cannot discard this interpretation which is the natural interpretaion and give a historical materialistic interpretation.

about the fight on margazhi:
i remember thirumuruga kirubananda variar saying somewhere that the vaishnavites held margazhi in high regard, "peedudai maadham". this the saivites corrupted to "peedai maadham". i dont know whether he said this in jest :-)

Gopalan, Thiruvempavai of Sambandhar is also traditionally observed (nonbu) during Maargazhi masam for Saivites. It is only ba$tards like Dr Krishna Bin Laden who introduce into hinduism christian missionary concepts.
