I am a mix of Sitachiar, Vandayar and Thanjairayar. Couple of centuries ago, my ancestors moved to SriLanka from Thanjavur and Devakottai. In SriLanka, Matale, Hatton were the original cities. I am trying to trace my origins. Any help is welcome.

Ezhanattu kallar and piramalai kallar. both are same but They will not marrie each other. Because, the ezhanattu kallar having the family name(pattam). They will marrie only with ezhanattu kallar. But, There are some cases to marrie with piramalai kallar and kantharvakkottai kallar and Agamudaiyar and Maravar.
bye

well the concept of casteism emerged so lately and there was no separate kallar or wat ever caste before some two thousand years. So there is nothing much to worry about races.

Hi, I am a Malaysian and just went in search of my roots to the village vadiakade that my grandfather was from. I learnt that he was a Kallar (panikundar) and they directed me to another village called papanadu- where most of the kallars originate from. Hope this will help.
