The close similarity between ethnic Lithuanian religion Romuva and Vedism

Lithuanians call gods daevas,Indics call them Devas.Agni is same in both languages.Both venerate nature as devine and Indic people have helped in recent revival of Romuva.

Russians have many things common with Indians also.Lake Baikal is venerated as a deity , much like our Kaveri and there are many element of pagan culture.I read somewhere that in the rural areas the christianity never had a strong hold and paganism was more common.Russia after collapse of communism is witnessing a revival of interest in their pagan past.
