Hey, i just have a question about the SL tamils. I live in a western country, where the majority of tamils living here are sri lankan tamils.
One thing that struck me, is that the majority of them have rather light skin, and there are actually very few really dark ones amongst them.
Arent they the same people as us, i mean, they were originally from India.
I was at a gathering (SL-tamil), and there were only a few of them who had dark skin, most of them were rather light skinned, and many had sharp features. It was not like the people in Chennai.
Could someone please elaborate on this? Is it because of their mix with the sinhaleese people, arabs? Or is it just coincidence?

  Himlayas needed back in Tamilnadu, originally it was part of Tamilnadu during Sangam period or whatever.

  nice way to insult Thamizh!:@ Next time don't call people from Thamizheezham as SL tamil or blah blah call em as thamizh or as from Thamizheezham and Thamizh people aren't dark but we vary from brown black to dark brown and it's nothing and not all Thamizh from Thamizheezham are mix and the skin just vary different of the climate and things and some Thamizh are born as bit light skinned and become dark skinned later on and it happens the other way around...nothing is wrong bro Thamizh people are Thamizh and people who did a research on our skin color found out that Thamizh people have worked hard than any other society on the World so just be proud that you are Thamizh!

  Nedunche....., idiottam, AJ-taam blah blah, we must understand now, many non-Tamilians have started bombarding forumhub due to the fact that now it is popular among many American Universities and many Northys know about it. It was all done by few guys who informed many northy students and now everyone is bombarding this.
  so be cool. Don't preach to much of Dravidian theory , otherwise we are only going to be looser, We are still backward compared to North Indians so we must remain calm, ofcourse few of us who live outside Tamilnadu are well versed, but we must look back to our home state and uplift those backwards and must talk after seeing reality.
  
  By fighting with every North Indian or Hindiwala is only going to make us harm not them. They are alreay very advanced in foreign countries even after driving truck, because they help people back home, We don't even help a single Tamilian to uplift back home, rather we look down at them.
  
  Just relax and look for solution. only being agressive on such forums doesn't make you practical and doesn't make us forward. Tell me not even a single name have figured in economic decisions of U.S.A. from South India, only gujjus, and other northys take lead. May be from bureacratic front we are little better but that doesn't make you own decision maker. Just be your own help others, help Tamilnadu, don't get into the evil designs of politicians.
