This is the mail I got from a tamil friend working in B'lore.

There was this teachers strike in TN and Jaya Amma
didnt budge. The teachers were demanding full cash
payment of gratuity and encashment of earned leave.
She arrested all of the striking employees and sacked
them. Too cool. The teachers continued striking, she
got more of them arrested and sacked more of them
showing no signs of negotiating or coming down. She
got temporary staffers to replace the teachers instead
of budging. And all of this in two three days instead
of waiting weeks. Finally the teachers called off the
strike. I was really impressed with this. In fact to
date, the teachers havent been taken back on service I
think. No indian state govt has displayed such guts.

She has been rock solid this term. The other month,
she kicked Pope's a$$ big time. Jaya has banned
religion conversions in TN and Pope commented on it
being not right and people to be given the choice of
religion. Jaya called a press conf and asked Pope to
mind his own business. Really! In her words "The Pope
has no business interfering in a democratically
elected state govt's decisions". One of the journos
asked some question in response. She said "This is not
a Q&A answer. I just want to send this message to
Pope". And all this with a poker face. Some Christians
went on strike, she didnt do the usual "I was
misquoted bit".

And before this she kicked Karnataka CM SM Krishna's
ass big time. Krishna was trying to act strong, she
adopted the legal route and really embarassed him. Big
time. Imagine a CM making a statement like "I wont
release water under any circumstances, I am ready to
go to jail for not doing so" and releasing it in a
week ;-).

I have always maintained India needs 2 good dictator
terms who disciplines everyone, in democracy the
people here wont improve. This incident only
strengthens my opinion. I am not suggesting Jaya be
the one :)

  well, if this gentleman is seeking votes for jayalalitha, he will be disappointed. i assume that more than half of the regular fum hubbers are outside india. even those who are in india also are not of the kind that exercises their rights of voting regularly. so why use this firum for politics?

  Have you ever come to the area which is sorrounded by Madurai, Theni & Dindigul?? You can see the photos of MGR & Jayalalitha in most of their houses. Some of them still think that MGR is still alive and Jaylalitha & MGR are husband & wife. Unfortunately/Fortunately I am from that area. I know people are how crazy on JJ. I overheard during the last election campaign people saying
  "ay amma coloura paarudi, minnudhudi, evengathan muthalammaichar chairukku poruthamanavanga. Karunanidhiya paru, antha pathivikkellam oru kala venumidi"
  
  DMK will exist as long as Mu.Ka is alive. Vijaykanth is trying to enter into politics but he is a supporter of JJ. Her fate depends on Rajinikanth but some people does not want him to become CM as he is a kannadiga.

  Mr. Nayakkar,pardon me, my tamil is not that good(I am a german you know).But it seems what you have written is that people were commenting on JJ's white skin and comparing with ugly Mu.Ka.

Second time against court orders she thrust herself as CM, later court scr*wed her. She used her money and goondas to attack judges. She brought anti-conversion bill to suppress dravidians exploring other religions. She spent vacation in a trichy ashram that police says ran a brothel and that priest is behind bars. She recommended to George Fernandes a iyer for the famous post in finance dept and he was responsible for the indian stock market crash in 2000.
  
  Unfortunately, the people you iyers refer to that sings JJ's praise have no education to think thru all my claims on JJ. Well, those people do not have enough food for a day and JJ throws freebies and they think she will do good for people.

  You are not a German, you are a citizen of Federal Republic of Germany. A mixed blood guy could never become a German. Poor fellow you must be going through an identity crisis. You are better off if you identify yourself a Tamil, because the Tamils of TN have the habit of accepting every trash with out any hesitation, just like they accepted JJ.

  Brhmins you have had enough of the CM post and time to get out of it and but poor TN people, majority of them are naive and ignorant may fall prey to all kinds of such stunts as done by JJ. That's why TN people are still timid and behave like slaves until today except a minotity. This slavery attitude is still existing among the estate workers in Sri Lanka , the direct descendants of TN people.
