I hear from some people that Kattapomman was not actually a Tamil but a Telugu. And he didn't speak any Tamil at all like it was posed in the movie Veerapandia Kattapomman. Remember the famous dialogue "Manjal araithaya...."
Anyone know what he was? A Tamil or Telegu?
