  Mala in Andra Pradesh and Orrissa and even Bengal are an autochthonous group that has been reduced to daily wage labor by expanding agricultural economy during the last 2,500 yrs. The system is also known as Paleru. As a group they worship Ellamma (In Telugu, Oriya, kannda and Bengali), Elaiamma (in Tamil), Mariamma, Renuka etc . PALLARS (MALLARS) WERE FROM PANDIA ORIGIN- SRINIVASA IYENGAR(HISTORY OF TAMILNADU. KOPPERUM CHOLAN WAS A MALLAR. PALLAVA DESAM THER IS A CLAIM FROM VANNIYA KULA KSHATRIYAS. WHAT TO DO.   You seem not to understand Indian historty and the way social upliftment works. Sanskritization mean you ape the upper castes habits, myths, mythologies, stories and everything abouty them to upgrade yourself. It has worked like that for 3,000 yrs. Who are shudras today are Brahmins and Kashtriyas tomorrow. During the last 100 yrs this process has accelerated. Many down trodden castes throughout India have climbed this ladder of economic, social and power ladder successfully and others have languished. In Tamil Nadu Shanra/Nadar is a good example. Their women couldn’t wear upper garment and Maravar used to prevent them from going to school, temples and public places. But tady they are very rich so are Gouds and other Toddy tapping castes in Karnataka, Andhra and Eezhava in Kerala. Why deny this opportunity to Pallar when everyone else from the Brahmins to Kashtriyas have done it ?
