saliyar is a small community in tamilnadu .
Their language is telugu. Their job is handweaving.
Many families are in Kanjipuram. Some spreads in
tiruchi, madurai, perambalur and some near districts. But one can come across saliyar street in
any town(fairly old). They are very less in number.
kumaran silks Nalli kuppusamy belongs to this caste.

Hello Mr Rajasubramanium
Are all these saliyars telugus?

Not all the Saliyars are telugus. Most of the people living in south India(Madurai,Aruppukottai, Kancheepuram, Chennai) speak Tamil.
The people are really honest and they are very helpful.
They are hardworking people. They are simply GREAT.
