Did "Maruvu" happen to a great extent in Tamil.
If yes, were the original Tamil words so difficult or sophisticated for Tamils to use.
If the reason is not difficulty, why did people change the original form of the words? Did it get changed because Tamil language is so old that it was inevitable?

tamil did has undergone a lot of change. yes.
no, not becuase it was old and difficult. it is natural process. is the term "saalai" difficult? why do we use the term "road"?
samething happens to every language. greek and latin have gone through many changes but then, they are all called new languages, leavin greek and latin as classical languages. samething with sanskrit, hindi and related languages emerged from sanskrit and parsi mix-up, but the new languages acquired new names leaving sanskrit as old language. tamil is an excemption that it is old classic language as well as modern-day language with many words emerged from mixing up.

It is a good point that Tamil exists while others have gone.
If one listens to other language conversation(example Chinese) , a person who knows English will have no clue about what is spoken. But when two young Tamils have a converstaion, most part of the conversation is easily understood because we use so many English words in our conversation.
How good is the possibility to identify the "other lang. words" that Tamils use now and help susbtitute with easy Tamil words?
I certainly find the "salai" as a good example.
