This topic comes up again ..and..again..again;and is available in many old threads... so I guess nobody wants to write again!
Many books are available in Chennai Tamil bookstores dealing with his life, all the poems..etc.Suggest you buy a book to satisfy your curiosity...will be a small service to poor Booksellers on whose shelf such books are collecting dust.
Check Tamil bookstores;

Vanathi Publishers, among many others, has a Tanippaadal thirattu which has all of Kalamegam's songs +many others. Enjoy!

Hi Karthik,
Yeah! you can find Kalamega pulavar's poem in Thanipaadal Thirattu. Apart from the one you have mentioned "Kaakkai aagaa koogai" these are also good ones
"Poonaikk aaru kaal", "Thaadhi thoodho theedu"

Kavi kalamegam is really a great poet from Srirangam. He wrote many poems in " Irattura Mozhithal" or satire (sarcasm). There are some good poems (I remember atleast 5 to 10). in the thanippadal thirattu. He is the only poet who finished "Yamagandam" variety of singing.

Thanks folks and Mithra for providing that little verse-a little digression/comment here but I think that nagaswaram vidwan Rajaratnam Pillai
played the role of the poet (i think) in some movie..famous old one.
Link below may be interesting; some anecdotal origins of the 13 century poet.
