Hi James,
Wondering why no one has responded to this query of yours.
Anyway I will help you, as much as I can. Based on my experience of English translations of Tamil Literatures. You will have to use Google to search for online bookstores.
Kural:
The cheap and best translation is that of Sundaram, published by Penguin Books. It costs 250.
Tirumandiram:
International edition of Natarajan's translation is costly. Cheap and best is Advaita Ashrama's publication which also includes the text in Tamil. Cost: 150/-
Periyapuranam:
Again Advaita Ashrama's publication is available. Only Rs. 150/-.
History of Tamil Literature;
You can get from Sahitya Academi. Mu. Va's book on "History of Tamil Literature"
Anthology of Tamil literature:
From Sahitya again. They have ancient, mediavel and modern. Ask for the volumes containing Tamil.
More later......

Cilappadikaaram:
Again published by Penguin Books.
Purananuru:
Again published by Penguin.
