Vanakkam. Reading the English language translations of Chilapathikaram and Manimekalai have made me very interested in the ancient past of Madurai.I have read that Mangudy Marudanar, one of the noted poets of the Sangam Age, has described the many celebrations in the Pandyan capital of Madurai in his poems. I have searching for further information about these poems, especially translations in English, as my understanding of Tamil is limited to spoken Tamil. I would sincerely appreciate any information about the poems of Marudanar about Madurai.
