Mr.Anbazhagan on Sanskrit...

Mr Anbazhagan has made a recent statement that Sanskrit is a "fake" language and has also expressed some more strong feelings of repulsion (Refer expressindia.com dated july 26). Language is not just a means of communication; in its development along with the cultural advancement of a society, it acquires a vigour and life and becomes an expression of the finest sentiments of man. So, when one acquires a sensibility of appreciating the best things that are expressed in one's mother tongue, one invariably acquires a refined taste of identifying such an element in any other language, if it exists in it. Aren't we blinded by such fake tamil scholars as Mr.Anbazhagan who politicize such finer issues? Sanskrit may not be a "language of the Gods" but has it not expressed some of the finest thought content that our country has produced? It is a shame that we call these guys as scholars !!!

Here, you can directly hear it from yout Imam's mouth. BTW since you are a taxi driver in london, you might want to hear him in person:
"Sheikh Abdullah promised that those who died during a holy war would go to heaven, where they would be given 72 virgins."

Folks:
Sanskritists indulged in unwanted polemics by arguing that Tamil had no intrinsic merit of its own because it borrowed heavily from Sanskrit. To establish this assumption, Saminatha Desikar, a Sanskrit scholar compared the alphabets of Sanskrit and Tamil and found that all, expect five alphabets, the two short vowels e (±) and o (´) and three consonants Ra, na and za (È, É, Æ ) are common to both the languages. Therefore he argued that all the characters common to the two languages essentially belonged to Sanskrit and the five rare symbols which are absent in Sanskrit belonged specifically to Tamil. Based on his findings he wrote an unusual verse in which he posed insolently a question whether Tamil with only five letters of its own could ever be called a language. Intelligent persons will be ashamed
To call it a language That possesses only five letters.(Source: Arumuka Navalar (ed.), llakkanakkottu (Madras). p. 9, lines 27-28.)
Renowned linguistics around the world proved that
sanskrit borrowed heavily from Tamil and if the root words of Tamil/Dravidian and Iranian language were removed from sanskrit, sanskrit will disappear!!! So far Linguistics consider Sanskrit as a perfected language and not as a natural language.. When Anbalagan says soemthing about Snakrit, he must have some evidence ..without knowing the context its improper to comment...

What evidences, Mr.Anbazhagan might have in support of his claim against Sanskrit?
Is he a recognized reasearcher in Thamizh?
His only merit seems to be living behind in the shadow of his nitwit mentor for his personal benefits!
Is Thamizh at the mercy of these politicians?
If Sanskrit is not a spoken language, Thamizh is a 'sappaaNi' language. In what fields, we Thamizhans are advanced so that others would be tempted to learn it? Has Thamizh any FUTURE? It will go & sit next to Sanskrit! Only a matter of TIME!
Some falsely claim that Sanskrit borrowed words from Thamizh! What nonsense! Can they Justify their claim. 'Kamam' in aham, 'veeram' in puRam, inbam, thunbam, gnanam, ruchi, etc etc are Tamil Words?!
WE CAN'T SPEAK IN PURE THAMIZH HOWEVER HARD WE TRY! Some ONLY-TAMIL-KNOWING Tamil Pandits try & make fools of themselves! For Force Anna used Sanskrit terms on purpose: sarasiGaLin sallaabathaal sarindha saamraajyangaL!
Sanskrit words add weight & grandeur to Thamizh!
Why Language-bashing?
Stepping toward realizing the MIRAGE Thani PAN Thamizhagam?:)
Borrowing makes Languages rich! Not the 'INSULATION'!

Srinivaz yes. Even great Tamil saints like Thiruvalluvar himself and Saints like Thirumular have regarded the vedas as foremost scripture for Tamizh hindus.
Ramanuja elevated the Tamil works of the 12 Alwars (only 3 among them were brahmins and 1 was a women) to that of the vedam.
Ramanuja also said that in Vaikunta, we will recite Tamil paasurams before vishnu and not sanskrit since Tamil is the sweetest language ever.
Ramanuja, the great hindu renaissance saint, who spearheaded the bhakti movement, which involved saints from all castes and all religions (Kabir among Muslims) had a Shudra saint as a guru.
This is even acknowledged by Chandra Bhan Prasad, one of the foremost Dalit intellectuals.
http://www.dlshq.org/saints/ramanuja.htm
//Of the known nine Alawars, many belonged to the untouchable and Shudra castes. From the school of Alawars came Acharya Ramanuja, a disciple of a Shudra guru, Kanchipurn of Kanchipurn//
This was written by Chandra Bhan Prasad (Chandra Bhan Prasad is president, Dalit Shiksha Andolan)
http://www.sabrang.com/cc/comold/march98/dalit.htm
There you go, right from the Dalit's mouth. May the light of Ramanuja ever shine forth!
BTW, Nammalwar was an Isai Vellalar whose disciple was Madhurakavi a Brahmin
Tondar-adi-podi Alwar was from the panar caste (considered very low) and was carried on the shoulder of Lokasaaranga Muni, the Brahmin priest of Srirangam.

Irrationalist, according to the 2001 census of India, 55,000 people classify sanskrit as their mother toungue and still speak it.

Irrationalist: Who's decorating the corpse? If there is need, we will send for you.
Can you live & prosper in this world knowing only our mother tongue? Why do we are crazy about learning English then?
Would even small children give respect to you or take you for an educated man if you don't know any English!
All the so called Rationalist Tamil Kavalars send their sons, daughters, grand children to Don Bosco & Presentation Convents!
Don't try to cheat the gullible people.
Sanskrit is everywhere. Even in the daily speech of all Tamils. Can you deny this? Come on, try speaking in Pure Thamizh! Can you? Many of you are not able to pronounce even the siRappu ezhuthu, 'Zha'. How do you call yourself Thamizhans? pOi tamilu paesu; pO !
Your English is horrible! What do you do for your living? intha latchaNathila, aduthavangalai pathi aechu paechaa?!:)

In my hurry,I didn't check my posting & I find some mistakes in it.
For 'Irrationalist' read 'Rationalist'.
For 'Why do we are crazy about learning English?' read 'Why are we crazy about learning English?'
The sentence next to it is a question & so needs a (?) mark at the end instead of the period.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused because of my haste in posting.

Dear Srinivas,
I appreciate your clarification on the wrong grammar and semantics. Dear! I understand it with a rationalist's intellect/discretion. No need to explain.
Alas, But you did not have the ability to comprehend that the same could have happened to me?! I mean the wrong formation of the sentences if I had had to rush. Well, this is one more example of the hasty, self righteous, pre-emptive instincts that the sansrkit lovers always have/had- a congenial arrogance that has lately been diluted(forcefully though ;-)). Do you remember Karunanidhi's rule hi hi??
Well 55,0000 have Sanskrik as mothertongue! Vow what an information to reckon with ;-). How desperate you look when you say that and how pathetic the figure looks when you juxtapose that to the patronage offered to other languages in India! Its all over man.
:-)
You wanted to know what I do for a living? isnt it? Surely not the sleazy, foxy, cunning that an average brahmin does in life to accomplish things.
Dont ever you worry my friend. I do the most sophisticated things in life for to earn a living. I am a software engineer working in media research. The error in my past letter is just a slip. I take care of myself in the best way possible. .
And to your point that whether I can live with only Tamil. I never said that? :-) I am not the conventional, conservative tamil patriots who made the mistake of staying restricted in the ghettos. I am one of the neo-technical ilk of tamil patriots with the most recent mould which seizes from you the prospects that you enjoyed so far by subjugating all others. Watch out man! All those days are gone.
We guyz will learn, English, Hindi and all other languages- and then say.... YAmarindha MozhigaLLile Thamizhpol inidhAvadhengum kAnOm!
And that's a fact you know. Especially than the Sanskrit One ;-)

Karuvayan says...
"Ramanuja also said that in Vaikunta, we will recite Tamil paasurams before vishnu and not sanskrit since Tamil is the sweetest language ever."
Ramanuja said so, but what do the phoney likes of Ramanuja say now---Since the consercration of a temple near Karur was done in Tamil, the sanctity has been jeopardized....
Karuvaya... whatz all this.. Then the seers and co in Kaanchi are dismissing Ramanuja's requests... aren't they grossly indisciplined then? Now who is right, Ramanuja or Kanchi's company...
And again Mr. Karuvayan says..
"Ramanuja elevated the Tamil works of the 12 Alwars (only 3 among them were brahmins and 1 was a women) to that of the vedam"
He is a real noble kind. we may accept it... And I have first hand info regarding this.. from the descendents of one of the alwars... ThirukkaNamangaiyazhwar....His name was Kannan and he belongs to the so called Kallar community. He was a bandit and he was transformed as one azhwar....
Again, now in the current age, would the company in the Kanchi mutt, ever accept a so called dalit as a future Sankaracharya....
Where is that Ramanuja nobility and the hypocrisy
of the pretending ones in the Kanchi mutt?
