Very good website. Read the articles where Saint Thirumular has praised Sanskrit as one of the two eyes of Tamil Hinduism. The other eye is Tamil.

The recent kumbabishekam in a temple near Karur was performed according to the specifications of Agamam in Tamil. Everyone knows what the outcome of that was... the hegemons in Brahmanic Hinduism wanted the act to be nullified and performed in Vedic style

//of Agamam in Tamil//
The Agamams are in Sanskrit and not in Tamil.
Why are you bothered anyway? Are you not supposed to be an atheist?
Just incase, listen to what Thirumular says:
"§Å¾§Á¡ ¼¡¸Áõ ¦Áö¡ Á¢¨ÈÅëø
´Ðï º¢ÈôÒõ ¦À¡ÐצÁý ÚûÇÉ
¿¡¾ ۨâ¨Å ¿¡Ê Ä¢Ãñ¼ó¾õ
§À¾Á ¦¾ýÀ÷ ¦Àâ§Â¡÷ì ¸§À¾§Á."
"The Veda with the Agama is the truth; they are the word of the Lord: these revelations of the Lord are to be studied as the general and the special doctrines; on enquiry they are taken to be different as giving rise to two different sets of conclusions: but to the great ones they are non different." It is in Tirumantiram we first come across the word Siddhantam. In one place, Tirumular says:-
"º¢ò¾¡ó¾ò §¾º£Åý Óò¾¢º¢ò ¾¢ò¾Ä¡ü
º¢ò¾¡ó¾ò §¾¿¢ü§À¡÷ Óò¾¢º¢ò ¾¢ò¾Å÷
º¢ò¾¡ó¾ §Å¾¡ó¾ï ¦ºõ¦À¡Õ Ç¡¾Ä¡ü
º¢ò¾¡ó¾ §Å¾¡ó¾í ¸¡ðÎï º¢Å¨É§Â"
"Since the soul attains salvation in Siddhanta, the devotees of Siddhanta become Jivan-Muktas; as Siddhanta is the quintessence of all the Vedas, it is the right path that will discover Siva."
I am sure our pal, Rationalis will now brand Tirumular as a low caste hindu. Say Periyar Muttal, why don't you start a new religion yourself. Theyby you and your cronies can worship kushboo, EVR and Karunanidhi.

Why should I accept the arguement that one of the eyes of Tamil Hinduism is Sanskrit, and only one of the eyes is my Tamil (this in Tamil Nadu!), when the people who sit up there in the North do not accept that one of the eyes of their Hinduism (Gujarati-UP-Panjabi-Hariyanvi Hinduism..) is my Tamil?
Karuvayan, do you mean Tamil is worth only half? Or, the worth of the Tamil citizen is only half of that of the Sanskritic (or Hindi.. Gujarati.. what have you..) Citizen?
We should agree to the fact that we are all equal Indian citizens. Karuvayan, get rid of your slave mentality, and think like an Indian. A hundred percent Tamilian can be a hundred percent Indian, or Hindu if he wanted. Be does'nt need to be Hybrid. I think this was what that "Rationalist @24.." chap was trying to tell you..You could not grasp it.
I am surpised sensible people could make lop-sided shame-faced sham arguements like yours. You are also trying to revive ritualism in the name of religion. Grow up, Karuvayan.
Regards
