For me, parthiban is such a great actor.Unfortunately, his talent was wasted for the last 7-8 years. Now seems that he has regained his position where he left it before.
I liked him from his 1st. film till now. Some of best films:
1. puthia paathai
2. sugamana sumaigal
3. swarnamughi
4. housefull
5. nee varuvai enna
6. unn aruge naan irunthal(the best of parthiban)

The best thing about parthiban is he can act as a rowdy, gentleman or whatever he wanted to. His dialogue delivery is the best.No one can match him in this aspect.
For me he is our asset after kamal sir.
Only advice for him is don't do massala movies such as James pandu....

  I agree completely. I love the way he acts. I think he is the best in delivering comedy with a serious face. He is a very good at delivering his lines and is very expressive. However, I really don't like him in fast songs. For instance, Unn unn aruge naan irunthal, the fast songs made Parthiban look bad. I liked him in that one slow song with Meena where he is dressed in traditional clothes. Also, in James Bondu, his song with Kowsalya was good, because it was a slow one. But can you imagine him doing the songs that Prubutheva did in James Bandu. I think fast songs slow down his movies. I think his presence is enough to keep the movie moving. We don't need unneccessary songs coming in between the steady flow of comedy. An excellent actor. I watch all his movies in the theatre and have never regretted going to any of them. SUper.

  It's high time we spoke about Parthibhan. As Milton said he is not only a good actor but also a good creater. His column "Ch-chumma" in vikatan is really fantastic(the first thing I read in Vikatan). In the latest issue he talks about Sivaji, it is really touching.
  
  The sense of humour he has is far beyond comparison. The way he delivers dialog is something different and the timing is fantastic.
  
  And Ganesh, being dark is definetely not a disadvantage. Thouhg he is dark he is handsome and talented than many other fair chaps in the feild.

  Get murali a separate topic. He is one of the few talentless fellow surviving, which in itself requires talent. On a second thought, he might be talented afterall.
  
  Parthiban is an average actor. Which means he does not try too hard like some of the younger actors and make a fool of himself. He knows his limit and makes a good use of it. That makes him a very good average actor. If that confuses you, read the thread that says Vijay is a good actor. Vijay's popularity is a mystery that stands alongside the question as to who really killed JFK.
  
  Parthiban is not only a good actor, but a certifiable director and writer. I would rank him together with Barathiraja (who can be really inconsistent, but at times produce result) and K. Baghyaraj (of the eighties, not now). He also produced fantastic result working for other directors. His performance in Puthumai Pitthan alone guarantees the assurance of his superb presence and gift for delivaring dialogue that can never fail to surprise. I, sometimes, am sorry that I never include him in the list of good actors. He is good. An very good average actor.

  Parthiben is a good actor and a seems to hv a good heart.It is no surprise that Sita can fall for him. I think both of them hv set very good example of married couple. He has been doing very well in the film industry. I like most of the movies he had directed & acted. My favs Puthiya Pathai, Saregamapathani, Barathi Kannamma, Vetri Kodi Kattu & Sabash.
