Which movies will flop in 2003? I think the tamil film industry will go through the same thing which happened to hindi film industry. 98 % of the hindi were flops in 2002. The cinefield need more innovation and development. The same formular is going through in many movies. Save your eyes and dont waste your time on these movies.

People in Bollywood reject movies which have the same formual fare. Movies like Nayak, Saathiya, Khushi and other remake films have bombed in bollywood whereas they have been superhits in Tamil and Telugu. But here people reject movies like Anbe Sivam and Kannathil Muthammital. Remeber Kannathil Muthammital was a huge success in the north eventhough the movie was not dubbed and was only shown in subtitles. I think the people in North India are more matured and ready for change than the southern part of India.

"Kannathil Muthamittaal" was a huge success in the north?!!! What kind of blatant lies are you speacialising in, dude? The movie was released in some niche theatres in metros and attracted very very minimal crowds, most of them who think that not watching Bollywood movies is cool. Something like a chunk of the Chennai crowds, who think Tamil is infra-dig and go ga-ga over any crap which comes out of Hollywood. And basically, what are you trying to say? "Saathiya" a flop??!! And you think that is "formual"(what's that, pray?) If you mean that it's formulaic, man, you need some immediate attention. Though almost 80 per cent of the credit should go to Maniratnam for the original "Alai Payuthe", "Saathiya" is still a very very watchable movie, and certainly not "formual"!

Are you the infamous Nosey Parker, trying desperately to get a wind of what's transpiring between others?

This being a public forum, "trying to get a wind" doesn't arise. After all you guys weren't exchanging any private e-mail. Anyways thats besides the point. What is the need for nitpicking on someone's grammar or spelling when it just required rudimentary reasoning to figure out what it meant ? What are we trying to debate here ?

Do you have a comprehension problem? What makes you so sure that I was nitpicking on grammar, or spelling for that matter? You needn't have a Webster's acumen to find that it was just a typo there. Whatever came as response was in good jest and NEVER intended otherwise. Period.

Huh comprehension problem ??? Where when and how was that determined ? I dont remember comprehending something incorrectly. Oh well .. We could go on and on with this pissing contest. Its better to take this offline if you so desire for the sake of others.

Arjun. Kannathil was a huge success and Kandukondain ran for nearly a year in Mumbai (Only morning shows on Sundays). It is quite an achievement for tamil movies.
