  Madhavan's acting in Minnale was 100 times better than it was in Alaipayuthai. Alaipayathai didn't make an impact in me as much as Minnale did.

  Male cast..In Alaipayuthey,honestly i didn't saw Madhavan in any 'action'.I mean Manirathnam gave much priority to it's story plot rather than its casts.So,sadly Madhavan was doing smooth role all the time.
  
  But in Minnalae,he was given some sort of different kind of get ups;roles.As a ragger,college student,'good'rowdy,commited person,lover and than as a stubborn yet arrogant friend.So we might have the chance of seeing him in so many 'avathars'.(he acted overly in some parts,that'a a different story)Abbas - nice and simple.
  
  Female casts..Frankly Shalini is much better than Reema Sen.In fact, Minnalae would have been much watchable if Shalini was in.
  
  And the story..basically Alaipayuthey has a heavy theme compare to Minnalea.Somehow Alaipayuthey has a story that can be practically picturized than of Minnalae.
  
  Music..I prefer that of Harris Jayaraj's than AR Rehman.Kudos to HJ!!!
  
  So Alaipayuthey versus Minnalae...and the award goes to....

  minnale disappoints in many way unlike alaipayuthe..esp..the ending..madavan crying was kind of wimpy..they could have made him stronger..the ending definitely belongs to abbas..
  and reema sen can't act for nuts!!!

  alaipayuthey rulez pple it has a total different story line not like most tamil movies which end in the hero n heroine finally getting together after a long problem including minnale. the songs and cast are nice but if u changed these two things u people would not like the movie because many other movies with the same story line have already been released!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  hello guys wake up Alaipayuthey rulzzzzzzzz times infinity
  I mean the story was fab Madhavan woz fab Shalini woz da gr8est and deserved that filmfare award more than Jyothika 4 Kushi in which she woz not good in. Minnale would have been better with Shalini as some 1 said b4. Madhavan and Shalini r da Shahrukh Khan and Kajol of da South. Reema Sen's acting is bull as was Abbas's. Madhavan should STOP working with Sneha coz Ennavale woz sooooooooooooooo predictable and as was Minnale. Why he is doin it in Hindi i don't know but success has made him as thick as a brick
