  I think you are right; I didn't see Kutty for the fear that I cannot control my tears, I was impacted even by the few clippings shown in Ponds Top 10 movies on SUN TV. One day, I'll gather the courage to see that even if I cannot control my thoat-choking sadness on such topics. Is it because there are umpteen like me, who have no guts to face the reality on screen, that such films are reduced in box-office numbers ? May be I'll pay tribute to such a director by buying one non-pirated VCD when I have a player.
  
  I think the Child/Teen stars in Azhagi also did even better job, though none throughout the film to match the reel length of Keertana.
  
  Why on earth did you remind me of 'Kutty' ? I am already getting agitated inside. :-(

  I don't know the name of that girl.But FYI,the charachter importance of that girl in 'Kutti' is more than that of girls from 'Kannathil..' and azagi..If you are a real lover of natural movies and if you are not one among people always blame Tamil cine field not giving good movies,at the same time don't encourage when it comes ...Please see the movie.I already bought VCD(original).The first time I watched this movie ,even after the movie ens ,I couldn't stand up from my chair ,my heart really cried ,and it's impact contineues for a day.
  
  The difference between keerthana and this girl is ..though keerthana did very well KM ,you can feel she acted,but in 'kutti',you will never feel like the girl acting ..it is so natural
  
  Without encouraging these kind of films,if we blame directors for not giving sensible movies ,it is our fault.

  Hats off to you, Man. I agree with you a 100% on the fact that it is we who have to support good directors. Only that, Milton, I get terribly pained to watch such movies. If you were not able to stand up for a day, I'll take a month to recover or perhaps never. Sure, that's no reason for not seeing. I will, friend. I am glad to see a like-minded fan in you.   Most of you have 'Proclaimed' that Kannathil muthamittal should be given awards for best this and that .. which however cant be questioned by anyone... however. I havent seen a single one entry for 'Kallikaattu kamban' 'KavipPerarasu' Vairamuthu for penning the melting, straight-from-the-heart and Brilliantly eloquent lyrics in KM.
  
  'Puthu Deivam thantha Poovae' - one of the most Metaphysically-loaded songs ever written in thamizh movies.
  
  '...... kadal Vaasal Thelikkum Veedae Panaimarakkadae paravaigal koodae....'
  
  - stunning and piercing and melting to the core.
  
  'Sundari' - gosh!
  
  I guess Vairamuthu the poet is the most unluckiest and the most-underrated lyricist ever...
  
  We are indebted to him for keeping alive the 'eeram' of our identity inspite of the 'Vaniga Varthaga Veyyil' that vapourises our sense for the subtle, the nuances and roots.
  
  Vairamuthu's contribution in keeping Thamizh upto the hi-tech westernised film music, and retaining the roots is astonishing and now would become legendary.
