When the phone gets disconnected, invariably the person will give the phone a surprised look or keep staring at it before placing it back in its cradle.
If a group of police enter the scene, it is a definite indication to us that the movie has reached its climax.
Un thaai mele aanai. Nee.... (not to do something).
Idhu en purushanukkum enakkum ulla prachnai. Nee idhule thalai idaadhe.
Avar ennai adikkattum, kollattum. Adhukku avarukku urimai irukku.
Avar illaama ennaale uyir vaazha mudiyaadhuppaa.
Naan venaam, aana naan kattina thaali mattum edhukku? (Then the heroine removes it, but before removing it, there is the "Maangalyam thandhunaa...." song in the background, and the heroine will remove it only after that).
More will follow .... Time to go...

Hey guys,
How about this dialogue, in wedding scenes;
Bride's father: 'En kanaiye unkita opadaikiren, en mahazhai eppovum, kan kalanghamal paathukappa'
geez, no body ever says to the bride to keep the bridegroom happy in marital life :))
when the crowd bless the couple they will say '
16um petru peru vazhvu vazhungappa'.
geez, 16 kids!!!, r they serious ????
Once, I opened a thread called ' Pathetic scences in tamil cinema', please find it in the archive section of forumhub.

Hero and heroine get married and ther is a first night scene. No matter how modern the heroine is shown, she enters the room in fully decorated clothes with her hair combed clean (like a nAttu kattai) and a big pitcher of milk and lots of shyness. after the usual "thingies" they start a duet and when the song ends, the hero jumps over the heroine who is lying in the bed - the scene closes. Morning opens with the standard tune in bhoopalam, the heroine gets up, takes her mangalyam and worships it. Thats when you see her face where the kumkum is disfigured and flowers in her hair are scatterd. When she brings coffee to the hero, he tries to start a second innings....

Some standard scenes in selected Dhevar ‘animal’ movies; the novelty will be the animal. Either a cow/bull, monkey, goat/ram, horse, dog, baby elephant (they are the favourites). And usually they belong to the heroine.
The favourite name for these pets is usually ‘Ramu’.
And always, there will be a scene when the villains and his addi aals will harass the heroine. When she is in real danger, she will shout “RAAAAAMMMMMUUUUUUU!!!!!!”
This will echo for miles and miles and the animal will hear it (let’s take the example of the house goat). Ramu will then look up, shake off the rope that’s tied around him and run to the heroine’s help, with Shankar Ganesh music in the background.
Run, run, run- over the hills, past the rice farmers, past the village tea kadai, crossing the river, jumping over a wall (usually thrown over the wall by the assistant director), run some more until he reaches the heroine.
Then Ramu will then head butt everyone (sound effects will be ‘Tok! Tok!”). And all it takes is one head butt for the villain to be sent flying (please note the exaggerated facial features showing pain).
Heroine is saved and usually there is a song for Ramu- a garland will be placed around Ramu’s neck. Someone will put kunkumum on it’s head, etc.
What I don’t get is if the heroine’s voice is so loud, why can’t she call for someone, like her father, brother, next door neighbour, or even the POLICE?! She prefers to call the family goat to save her. The mind boggles.
