after a long wait, i saw aalavandaan and like all others i was disappointed. the critics in tamilnadu were kind. but some so called genuises in hindi cinema were really harsh. very stupid indeed. they said that kamal dominates the whole movie and there is very little scope for other people to act. they listed out movies like appu raja,hindustani etc.. but they couldnt remember "sadma".
the fact is that if a reasonably good dancer dances with prabudeva,
u will feel that she is not dancing well.u may even tell that p'deva dominated her and gave no scope to dance?? stupid!
also the ppl. in north are biased. i could see some of the hindi channels showing banners like "laagan invited for oscars". as if the academy for sound and motion pictures invited laagan with "vethalapaaku ,poo ,pazham".
its true that laagan is a good movie but did these ppl. give the same support or even one tenth of the support for hey ram, atleast the tv channels.
poor kamal! govind nihlanis "drokhal" is a mind blowing film,but it is a flop and ppl. never respect nihlani .rather they r crazy over karan johar.
i think it is time to introduce a "film appreciationship course" to higher secondary and college students.things might change a little bit. atleast minimum guarentee will be assured.

come on guys! we cannot suddenly expect kamal to give a movie like "matrix". u should support him.
