  His performance in Mani Ratnam's "Mouna Raagam" is one of the best supporting performances I've seen in Tamil cinema. Karthik is a good actor who makes bad decisions.

  Karthik - hard to believe he's doing movies that are utter nonsense today, but just take a look at the directors Karthik has worked with in the past.

  Noted telugu director Vamsi
  
  Has in been four K.Balachader produced movies (Pooveli, Vanna Vanna Kanavugal, etc.,.) Most for any actor.

  Karthik is an actor who has real talent. Only Kamal(at Karthik's time) worked with directors like these. Today, however, he prefers to work with third-class directors like C. Sundar, P.Vasu, etc.,. A real pity that he's doing this.

  A very talented actor.And very good-looking as well.In my opinoin next to Sivaji and Kamal, Tamil film industry has produced very few talented actors with good looks.Karthik ranks first in that list.It is ironical that all 3 are from Tamilnadu and not from other Indian ststes.
  
  For some unknown reason he has stopped performing good roles nowadays.I recently read in a Tamil weekly that Manorama inquired Karthik about this nonchalant attitude of his and advised him to rectify it.
  
  Hope he comes up with some good movies like the great Varusham 16 or even average movies like Poovarasan which had fantastic music from Maestro Illayaraja.

  Very true. At his time, Karthik was probably #1 if you combine looks and talent. And he has worked with some of the great tamil directors. Too bad he's doing bad movies these days.

  Hey balaji, are you talking about "Chinna Kannamma" starring Karthik, Gauthami, Suhasini, and Nasser? It also has that little girl from Mani Ratnam's "Anjali". I think this was the movie you're talking about between Karthik and this little girl.

  There was also an old movie directed by Visu called "Aval Sumangalithan" That was one of Karthik's most underrated performances.

  He has maintained his Body too..

  Unnidathil E .Koduthen was a crap movie. He gets locked up in a kitchen for three days or something with ramesh kanna. It is funny how they could live in the kitchen for three days with out needing to shi t or Pis s. Unless they did it down the kitchen sink. That how dumb the movie was.
