There are so many rejected actress in north, been celebrated here in TN. why is that?. Should'nt we ashamed of it?. Why do these guys eat leftovers?.
The list goes like Kushbu, Nagma, Simran, jothika, devayani and more!.

  There are many fair skin people in South India as well...what more they could probably act better than the so called rejects anyway.

  North indians clam all south indians as "tamils", whether they are telugus, malyalis or kannadam.
  
  When Sridevi was in her prime time they didnt emphasize her background to much. They appreciated her BIG time. Now that she is out of the lime light they always tag her with the label "south".

  Actresses like Jyothika and Nagma are not liked in Tamil Nadu. Maybe they don't have to be paid too much, so film producers prefer to cast them in their films. Devayani is a good actress, and that's what people like about her more than her looks. Kushboo is quite good-looking even if she is fat and she too is not liked any longer. Simran, well she's pretty and she's a good actress, so I don't know why she was "rejected" in the North. And besides, are the actresses who are "accepted" in the North really pretty? Or are they even good actresses? Shilpa Shetty, Karishma Kapoor, Sonali Bendre, etc. may be stick-thin, thinner than even stick-insects, but that's not beauty, is it? Actually, it's the North that's suffering from more of an inferiority complex than the South, because they try to copy the west. The idea of "thin-is-beautiful" originated in the west (but it's dying out even there now), and the North just copied that. The idea of blood-red lips and waxed legs being sexy originated in the west, (and those ideas are still around) have been copied in the North too. Most Hindi films still revolve around the same themes, but we're seeing more variety in the South. So we're not really "eating the leftovers", since we throw away the "leftovers" too.

  anyway...yeah what u say is true in a way. bollywood actresses suck in a way. south indian suck to. bollywood actresses cant act well at all. maybe some.

  Tabu didn't act in Tere Mere Sapne. It was Priya Gill. In fact I don't think most people here know much about Hindi films (but of course everyone pretends like they do). I can only blame all the obssession with north/bollywood bashing to some rather sad little insecurities that some of you have. Just stand back and look at yourselves...

  The fact is in Australia, people worship Jyothiks for he acting skills and anyway, she could be a north reject, but we stil enjoy watching her movies because she has brought herself to the top in the Tamil Industry.
  
  So I think we should be bagging her out now.
  
  Anyway, I don't think South Indians are obsessed with fair skin, because lots of South Indians have fair skin and the country has new nationality people changing it everday.

  Well its true. I lived in Chennai for one year, and most of the people are having a inferiority complex. Yes there are a few fair people but very limited in number compared to elsewhere in India. And Historically its a proven fact Dark people feel inferior to someone fairer then they. They have in built mechinisms to ward this off. But is Fair necessarily mean that your smarter or better then someone who is dark. Most Fair People and the film Industry promotes this greatly also, have a big chip on there shoulder. They get away with almost anything. The Film Industry in Tamil Nadu is also a victum of this Fair Skin problem which will, lets face it never leave. Indian are and will always be obsessed with fair skined people. But the Amazing thing is that most of the Northerner realize that the real intellegence is in the South and look up and take notice of this fact. That is something that the South has to capitalize on fully. To a certian extent South India has but there are still miles to go. A negative has to be turned into a Positive.
