SOME TIME AGO ,AMONG THE YOUNG LOT OF ACTORS THE TOP THREE WUD BE VIJAY-AJITH -PRASHANTH.THEN TWO YEARS BACK WITH THE ENTRY OF VIKRAM PRASHANTH GOT FADED OUT AND IT BECAME VIJAY-AJITH-VIKRAM AND NOW WITH SURYAENTERING THE SCENE MOST OF THE FILM CRITICS AND NOW LATEST IN KUMUDHAM IT IS SAYING THAT THE SUPERSTAR RACE LIES WITH THESE THREE OF THEM

  Surya is OK actor, but vikram is old actor who had luck for 3 movies, but will not last long & be gone before u know because of his age (kelavan). vijay will stand forever with his dance, comedy & action.

  I don't know why some one incluede Rajinikanth in this Thread. Rajini is not a talented hero.
  He is a lucky fellow just like Jayalalitha.
  
  Always KAMAL only a Top Hero. No one can comapare with Him.
  In future some one come near to him. But No chance
  to beat him. Surya and Madhavan have a chance to come near to him. Here I am not include Vikram Because Now he is
  around 43 years old.
  
  When kamal was 27 years old, He was Super star in India. In hindi(Ek duje Ke liye-175 days -1981) In Telugu(Saagara sangamam-175 days,
  Marocharithra-500 days)were super duper hit Movies. He got Nationl Award in 29 years old(Moonrm Birai-1983).So CUrrent heroes

  Please tell How many Vijay movies run 175 days and 100 days all over Tamilnadu?(Don't tell Chennai-Because his movies are run by Producer not by people in chennai).
  
  He has been acting last 12 years. Only just 3 or 4 movies run 100 days all over Tamilnadu(only 100 days-not 175 days)
  
  that movies also due to Directors not for Vijay.

  surya cannot even be considered as an actor (doesnt know how to dance, no good look, short guy, can act little bit). vikram (old guy, not a dancer, can act good). in order to attract mass audience (actor should know dance, comedy, little act -> Vijay). Rajini in the last 2 decade, now its time for vijay. see gilli is an good average movie (but the collections are very high).if vikram or surya gave an excellent movie the collections will never even be close to vijay average movie. thats what the mass audience means. so no one can ever beat vijay for this decade (vikram & surya will shine for a while as prabhu & karthik). manirathnam time is over, he should take rest like bharathiraja, balachandar. his fame is over. this time period is for tharani, gautham, selvaraghavan, bala etc.

  Vijay and Ajith are the most useless actor that Tamil cinema has ever seen. But the funniest thing is that somehow these 2 came up with a lot of movies for abt 5 years (all crappy love stories) when no one else was there, and made some fans. These fans later started to proclaim that these 2 would be the next Rajini, Kamal bla bla bla. Sorry guys, this will not work anymore. Ajith is already dead, and Vijay after 2 years of turmoil has given this fluke hit Ghilli (again no acting skills at all, absolutely dependent on a fast Dharani screenplay and some songs). But the good thing is that, there's a lot of new (REALLY TALENTED) actors that have emerged in recent times. I think Vikram will certainly top that list, as that guy could do almost anything, I mean even act like an animal if the script needs him to do. And then Surya and Madhavan, both good-looking and equally performing. So let's try to encourage good acting skills and not the crappy image that the so-called big stars have ...

  Responding to Radha, just because Rajini is the superstar doesn't mean that he was only lucky. Yes, luck had something to do with it, but also hardwork. He is a good actor. Same thing, some people say Vijay can't act and say that he's only lucky because he's currently #1. What was Thullatha Manamum Thullam, Kadhalukku Mariayathey? According to you Radha, whoever is on top is lucky. I agree with Karthick that the current top heroes are Vijay-Vikram-Surya!

  I've never heard one person say that Kamal was the superstar! People rave about his acting and he is quite amazing, but he isn't a superstar. Radha, you've got to understand the difference between a good actor and a mass hero! Obviously a mass hero needs to act well, but ultimately its about the fans. Rajini had and still has a colossal of fans, and currently Vijay does. I know Kamal is your favorite, but that doesn't change the fact that Rajini is a superstar!

  in term of 'acting', i would suggest Surya is best. his last 2 film, Kakha Kakha and pithamagan showed tat he really can do any character and can acting any role eventhough its is serious character comedian or etc. some more he put his hardwork in perazhalagan, and make the character alive to audiance.

  Best Example for his acting is the super hit movie Udhaya.
  
  And if youre still not convinced, that hes the worst actor after seeing the above movie. I dont know how worse an actor can get.
  
  I beleive that the trend in movies will change and actors will be known for their acting than showing off. That way, Vijay will be easily eliminated out of the race.
  
  My vote will go to Vikram and surya in acting. They both are equally talented that its hard to distinguish them

  Hi all,in my opinion SURYA is the superstar of all at this time .Ajit is just a smart looking guy nothing else .Though Vijay films are going well,his action and body language are not that good .just ok .But SURYA's body language is the best . His action and eyelooks in KAKHA KAKHA are highly superb .With in no time he became topstar .So he will be the future super star.
