  Following the stupendous success of the action-packed film Gemini, director Charan has turned to a romantic theme in JJ. Madhavan plays the lead role and perhaps after a long time, dons the role of a romantic youth.
  
  
  And turns, Madhavan comes across the currency note. The rest is about the happy ending.
  
  Madhavan looks fresh after a long time in the movie. He seems to be at ease in romantic scenes. A certain treat for his fans. Charan has utilised Madhavan well in the film.
  
  
  Reema Sen appears for a peppy number.
  
  Also in the cast include Anni fame Malavika, Ceylon Manohar, Manobala, Delhi Ganesh, Charlie, Thennavan and Thalaivasal Vijay.
  
  Kalabhavan Mani plays a humourous role in the movie has tried his best to evoke laughter. Dhamu looks ridiculous as a college student.
  
  All credit should go to Bharadwaj for excellent tunes in the movie. Apart from good re-recording, the songs Unai Naan, Jeebomba and Unai Ninakavae deserve special mention.
  
  A Venkatesh's cinematography has captured the beauty of Kolkata and Greece while Suresh Urs' editing make the movie interesting.
  
  Produced by Oscar Ravichandran, JJ is a visual treat for youngsters.

  Things only get better for Madhavan
  The year has so far been a 'mixed bag' for actor Madhavan. He
  began the year carrying the success of Run, had a fantastic
  beginning with the release of Anbae Sivam, acting alongside Kamal
  Haasan.
  
  Though the movie bombed at the box-office, he left an good
  impression among fans as an actor, who can perform any role well.
  Unfortunately his next movie AVM's Priyamana ThozhiGOOD RES[POND, while
  his latest JJ is doing a HUGE HIT business.
  
  However, the year-end seems to bring Madhavan better luck.
  He is playing a leadrole in director Manirathinam's Ayudha Ezhuthu,
  while he has been assigned the main role in K S Ravikumar's next
  venture Ethiri.
  
  K S Ravikumar, hailed as a successful commercial director
  joins hands with Madhavan for the movie, which is being produced by
  Damini Pictures.
  
  The production house ventured to produce Ethiri after their
  maiden Tamil attempt Alai. Jeyam fame Sadha plays opposite Madhavan
  in the film. With Ravikumar and Madhavan coming together, the
  expectations are that a commercial masala movie will be offered.
