Its sad to realise
our nadigar thilagam did not get the
needed recognition nationally!

does it make anyone wonder the national awards
are more biased with north and east based
films and actors?

having come from Drama to theatrical arts
SHIVAJI IS INCOMPARABLE!

  ON north south bias....
  Its also why shivaji went unnoticed.
  
  Like said before, if M.G.R could get it for a particular year, then definitely the reason was political influence or someother reason....
  
  (if the right thing does not go to the right person ...i suppose u can call it biased on some reason?)
  
  I agree shivaji did lots of loud performances, which was lil too much to digest, nevertheless
  like pointed out before
  
  I AM very sure, 1000s of actors or performers who did win the award also did bad or over performance in so many other films,
  
  so here again the question is not just biased or not biased...
  the question is SHIVAJI went unnoticed.

  M.G.R is not good actor, how many among u had seen his movies, i had seen his 120 movies out of 136, cinema, need good actor, he is not ready 2 show his acting capability, because when he came to his fans following him he just try to be a good hero not actor, did u see the movie, enthangai no , i am sure i u were not, his Malaikalan was how much great, go and ask the industry people, another information for u, regard ricksha karan, is a commercial movie, he never wait for any title & any the foolish award, in future there is many opportunity for a good actor may be like shivaji etc., but no one can get the title which was given to M.G.R. did u see his sarvathikari, go and see, how much technical application are there, especially fight, the actor if he is getting good story, good director, he or the movie will get awards, but for mgr movies, mgr is the hero that is enough for that movie, my dear fools, an actor should be remember by the people after his death also, like rangarao, m.r.radha, p.s veerappa, thangavelu, kannambal, including shivaji. an actor means not only acting , he should know all kind of activity in field, go and see ulagam sutrum valiban, see camera, that very easy to nowadays, but not that day, and adimaipen see camera, ur shivaji etc o in this area. i will accept kamal is great actor. u give any title any body but don't try to call mgr as a fool , if u want clear that if he is great actor or not refer his stage dramas,and the old movies. another information, the shivaji also mr.ganesan got the title "shivaji" due to absence of mgr. that time mgr was very busy then only shivaju got that opportunity, so the embryo is mgr, from, where the GREAT actor shivaji emereged. mind it

  M.G.R is a malayali, manon, broughtup from kandi srilanka, but he entered india, he was started his life with his brother, sister and mother from kumbakonam. he started his carrier from when he was 5 years old. from his childhood he started to work . in the begining he was selected for lady characters even shivaji also did many lady characters in stage play. M.K. radha's father(do u know mkradha)drama company was giving shelter to may boys. when M.G.R was selected for a inspector character in the movie "apporva sahothargal" he met many problems, if u want know his feelings on that days please try to read his article "nan yane pirathane?". for the fight scene in "MANDIRI KUMARI" , how much problems he faced, guys u can easily call him up as a fool but, non of u will not equal to him by all means. u can criticise any body is ur own wrights, but it should be with good words. u know onething, the great director balachandar was very famace by his screen play, he also statered with mgr's "thaivapiravi", but he came 2 know he is not suitable for mgr movie, because balanchar took movies for his own taste. but mgr movies for public, just to enjoy i.e, all. now i am asking to u who is good human being M.G.R or rest of others

  Chevalie is even greater than an oscar. One can give a good performance in 1 film and get the award. Chevalie is an award recognising years and years of effort and achievement. It almost spans a life time and I heard that the french went over sivaji's selection for five years before they realised that to honor sivaji is an honor for themselves. I am glad that sivaji was not awarded the biased and tainted national award. If he had been awared then that makes him equal to kamal, mamooty and heavens forbid MGR and other sundy actors. This way its the award that loses the sheen and sivaji ganesan is always perched on the pinnacle, as it should be, untouched and I think unttainable by other mortals. Peerless and incomprable.
  
  President nasser was so moved by sivaji sterling acting that he became a close friend of sivaji and when he came to india his only private audience was with sivaji. In fact once he enquired about sivaji with Prime minister Nehru and to his astonishment nehru expressed his ignorance of sivaji. So much so for the state of things.
  
  To say that each year some guy did better than sivaji so that he was not awarded the national award should be the biggest joke of all times. Performances in Kattabomman, vietnam veedu, Deivamagan, Thiruvarutchellvar, saraswathy sabatham, kappal ottia thamizan, uiarndha manidan to name a few, are almost unmatchable and to say that year after year sivaji was outclassed is like denying don bradman the best player award year after year.
