Company is being hailed as India'a answer to the Godfather...this may be a stupid question to ask in a tamil film forum that is obviously devoted to Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan, but, nonetheless I ask is Company better than Nayakan? My pick is Company.

  This about company and Nayakan. In Nayakan nothing special from Mohanlal. Tamil industry has done lot in movies and nowadays it leads in many segments in India.
  
  Good examples,
  
  A lady artist Revathy directed very good film which won good name around world and also heroine Sobana won national award.
  
  ARR from Tamil Nadu .. no need in detail.
  
  Very good film Kutti.

When you badmouth someone or call someone "idiot" after reading a posting which is in no way directed at you, what right do you have to elevate yourself to a pedestal and look down on others, man?
  
  Fanaticism. Let me tell you about my own humble way of looking at actors. I watch them. If they appeal to me, so be it. If not, ditto. For me, doing this "vaazhga" kind of sycophancy, for anyone, IS fanaticism. For me, getting personal and vitriolic when someone speaks ill of one's favourite actors IS fanaticism. It's for you to decide whether you are one. Either ways, I don't give a damn.
  
  Shakeela. Your views on this actress show that you are absolutely clueless about Kerala and its movies. She was a reasonably good draw at the Box Office. And the reason is pretty straight. SEX SELLS. And it doesn't mean that all men in Kerala were drooling over her. She was a hit with the B and C crowd, of course, but that's it. And man, frankly, I've seen more flesh from the Jothikas and Rambhas than I've ever seen from Shakeela. Period.
  
  And finally, about the aesthetic sense. Yeah, tastes differ all right. But it really takes some nerve to think that Tamil movies are better than Malayalam movies. I mean seriously. I don't make any bones about appreciating the talents of a Maniratnam or a Crazy Mohan or an Ilayaraja. And there are a lot of young makers and technicians coming up, which should be really appreciated. But no, Tamil movies have never been, and never are, better than Mal., if you look at them in a cross-sectional way. So the answer is, if you see Mal.s bragging about their tastes, it's simply 'coz their movies are better.
  
  We've digressed much from the topic here. And please don't come up with fussy, focusless rejoinders to make this worse. Sorry for the mess.
