Appu, directed by Vasant (he gave us the very sensitive, 'Keladi Kanmani')stars Prashant and Devayani.
Does anyone have more info. on the storyline?
I have a hunch that it's a copy of the early 90s Hindi C*ap Sadak, where the main villain was an eunuch (possibly played by Prakash Raj). I sincerely hope that I am proven wrong.

  I read somewhere that Prakash Raj is playing the role of the main villain who is a eunuch. This is nothing new in Thamizh films. Anandaraj played the role of a eunuch villain in some stupid Prabhu movie directed by Manivasagam. Anyway, no offence, but does such movies deserve a mention at all, let alone a discussion in a separate thread?:-))))

  After I saw a still of Prashant carrying Devayani on his shoulders and heard that Prakash Raj(i) is doing a "very special" negative role, I guessed that it would be a remake of a third grade Hindi flick called Sadak, released in early 90s (and was a hit!!) where the hero rescues a girl from an eunuch's brothel. It was gross and vulgar and had mindless violence and absurdity.
  
  I felt that Vasant showed so much promise as a new comer and by deciding to do such a lousy film, he is going downhill! (well, it's all my guess, I'd be glad if I'm wrong. Gimme a chocolate if my guess turns out to be true!)
