Hello Friends,

We had a hooooot conversation yesterday night.Atlast decided we will decide according to net survey !!

The question is

1.Plz rate the following tamil directors.Tell us the reason why you give fst position to one and last to other. (If possible plz tell the ur fav. movie of each director!)

  1.Balachander-He is the director cross the generation barrier ,started with black and white movies like aragnkettam,aval oru thodakathai,ethir nechal and next level sindu pairavi,unnal mudiyum thampi and also fitted himself with stylish and modern movies like Punnahai mannan.
  
  2.Bala -Though there are only two movies ,hatts off to his different way of approach-sethu
  3.Vikraman -Though he is not much standard in quality and reality ,appriciate him for his continueous success ,maintaing decency in his movies ,positive approach with some minus points like too much of sentiments .But his first movie 'Puthu vasantham ' was a trend setter-all the way it was a good ,decent movie
  
  Shankar- For me he is a hype ,good technician but not a very good director ,good screen presentation with impratical concepts ,but appreciate him for his courage,social interest and technical advancement
  
  Btw,You have missed a great directors Balu mahendra and bharathi raja who comes second and third in my list.

  bala -not qualified enen he gave very good two films.
  
  Balachander - very good in early stage but has failed recently.
  
  Shanker - good in technical aspects
  
  But my choice is Maniratnam movies anjali, mounaragam, nayakan and Kannathil muttamittal

  Ofcourse we missed lot of good directors like Balu mahendra,Bharathi raja,Mani Ratnam,Mahendran,Bakyaraj,Agathiyan..etc..

  Hi guys,
  
  I would rate balacandar at No 1 for he has been there in the industry for a really long time. He has prooved himself in the past and also is still prooving it.
  
  He is a very versatile director.
  
  I have no comments on others , the reason being they are all new to the industry or they have just directed a couple of movies.

  Bala - Good for sleepers. Depends on emotions a lot

  non of them meet my expectation.
  they have a long way to go to be recognize like that.
  same old things,same old stories with little twist here n there.
  no visual effects, no sound effects,
  they put up there as DTS but the DTS sound is not there.[and the list goes on.
