Both of them were shining stars in films made in a language other than their own native tongues.
In the case of Savitri, she excelled in her histrionics and dialogue delivery in Tamil films.
She was from coastal Andhra and did not know Tamil as she was growing up. Yet she excelled in Tamil films later ....
In the case of Sharada, who was also from Andhra, it was the same... She did not know Malayalam till after she came into Malayalam films ... She gave excellent performances in many Malayalam films, some of them known today as classics
