I just saw Virumaandi in DVD. I came across mixed comments about those movie and so didn't had a high expectation. Man, but it was a great movie. As people said, there's lot of violence, but none of them were shown explicitly and do not cause much impact. Even the background music doesn't emphasize those violence scenes and so I think they're OK.
The bull fight was really wonderful.
Needless to say, acting of Kamal, Pasupathi, Abirami,each and every characters are good.
Songs and bg music are good.
Story/screenplay has some new technique.
The only minus would be
- the film was bit draggy at the end
HeyRam was a good movie too, but I didn't appreciate that movie because of the fact that Kamal had some Blue film scenes in it.
But Virumaandi is pretty decent and I beleive that Kamal has really won as a director.
