i heard malaysians (malays) watch a lot of Bollywood hindi films..

How about tamil films? How come they don't watch tamil films?

Isn't tamil films marketed the same way?

  Hello, Most Malays and Chineese (Other than Indian's) prefer to watch Hindustan movies than Tamil Movies. This is due to some older times where Hindi songs are really famous and that capture the heart of Malaysians and the trend still going on.(Also some Muslim aspect like Mohd Rafi and some Islamic title of Hindi movies) But, since the new venture of stuff's in tamil film industry like, Maniratnam, A.R.Rahman, Shankar and off course Rajni and Kamal, Tamil movies getting more place there. I have alot of Malay friends that watch more Tamil film than the Bollywood movies. But, most of them still prefer Hindi because tamil films story always "Araicha Mavu" subject and they are bored with the same "Thosai" that served. Thanks. M.Muhelen MALAYSIA

  Tamil people watch Tamil movies and hindi movies . Malay people love hindi movies but don't watch tamil movies . (the point is that there's not many north indians in malaysia)
