RK fans,
What do you think about RK's older movies like Johnny, MuLLum malarum, AvagaL, 16 vayathinilE, Dharma yuddham, Thillu mullu, etc in comparison with his recent caricatures like Baba? RK has ONLY disappointed his original fan base with his new avatars.
PS: 3 yr old kids who haven't seen RK's older movies combining real style with a splash of non-chalance, humor and substance, please keep away from this thread.

Cyg: LOL!!!;-)))One need to be very careful in FH about the age, sex, caste, religion and identity or educational background and profession. I always leave that to *intelligent people like u to figure it out* by their own *intellectual and logical strength*. The tricky part for them here is sometimes on purpose 'some people' give a different image than what they really are. They pretend like they are carelessly disclosed the details about heir identity but they really trick you. ;-)))

I will tell u a sad story. It was about 16 months ago, a guy who was *pretending to be a very good friend* was asking one of our honest hubbers to give little more identity and she was a woman and a minority. I was about to tell her, NOT TO TELL anything PERSONAL as I know this place is a garbage-can most of the time. But I did not want to be too suggestive and personal as hardly know her at that time. SHE was SO HONEST and naive and so disclosed about all the details about her RELIGION, SEX, MOTHERTONGUE and background. Just like I thought she has been easily abused and *paying a big price for a silly mistake*.

As always dear friend, your point is well taken and I did not mean to pry, it was a silly question meant as a joke. I completely understand that this is a snake pit and we gotta be careful about everything : ))

Suresh:
It is hard to explain some of the things in the open forum. People like R and very few others know what is really going on here. If I wish to be a nicest person in the FH, I cant survive here for more than a day or two. It is the fact. I can only be nice to the nice ones. BTW, I never called u a traitor. Quote whatever I said let me see whether I can explain by going back to the situation. However, I just was disppointed that u r trying to be nice to animals as well and were trying to convince me that even animals and good people 'weigh' the same in your 'special balance'. Anyway let us move on, Suresh. Good people will not be overlooked for EVER. If not today, there is always tomorrow to get recognized.;-)))

cygnus,

BTW,
( back to the topic...:-)).... )
have you seen rajini's performance in nallavanukku nallavan ( i repeat nallavanukku nallavan and not naattukoru nallavan) :-)).... all mixed up character. comedy, romance, heroism, caring father.. etc...
i think that was one of the marvellous movie from rajini.

Good going, folks. Suresh, thanks for the 'nallavanukku nallavan'. I will get back to u with super*'s super moments later. Let us keep this thread healthy now and always, folks.;-)))

Cyg: I think the credit goes to SOCRATES. As usual these guys 'lifted' that from somewhere.
BTW, Suresh, have u seen Mahendran's *kai kodukkum kai*? Leave the story and I hated 'the bad part' in that movie. But Rajni as a broad-minded decent husband of a blind Revathy did an amazing job in that movie. There is very good 'duet' song with Revathi (thaazhambuvE or something?) which came out really great.
*When it comes to sacrfice, Super* is the best*. Even Shivaji does not stand a chance (imho)!!!

Nallavanuku Nallavan was directed by S.P. Muthuraman and produced by AVM and
it was released for Deepavali. As usual a super Hit move from the super hit team. After the release of the movie, Rajni became a very famous Star actor in India. Within a few weeks "John Jani Janarthanan" was released in North. I could remember those days, most of the Hindi magzines amazed the success story of Rajni. This movie attracted everyone as it has a good story line with Rajini and Radika best acting. Rajini got lot of clapping for his stylish acting. Illayaraja had given 5 wonderful songs for this film. Kamal's Ennakul Oruvan was released at the same time but it was a failure.

Kai Kodukum Kai : You might have seen the still of Rajni & Revathi in every Rangoli books during 80's.I like the song "Thazamboove" for its melody. This was prodcued by Vijayakumar, the story was taken from a Kannnada film in which Rajni did a villain role. Super Star tried to uplife Mahendran by acting in this film. That's why they put the tile like this. But, it didn't help Mahendran. I like the climax scene in which Rajni took a important decision with the back round of Shri Ragavendrar's picture.

ukw,
yessss... kai kodukkum kai... rajini is always at his best when he works for mahendran and mahendran is the ONLY director who ALWAYS supports rajini as a talented actor.

Thanks KR!
ukw, I vaguely remember "kai kodukkum kai", although "thazambuve vaasam veesu" is a beautiful melody, it has a line that goes "thaayin thaayE, konjip pEsu" which makes no sense to me 'coz "thaayin thaay" is the "paatti", right?!!! LOL!
Suresh, I agree Mahendran brings out the best in RK!
"kAttil oru singak kuttiyAm, viLayAttil athu romba chuttiyAm" is a great song with Rajini. Athu entha padathil varumnu maranthu pochu, do you guys know?

Anbukku Naan Adimai: After the great success of "Annai Oor Aalayam" Devar films started this film. I like the comedy of Rajni being a uneducated man. As expected, his brother comes back in the climax to solve the problems of Rajni. Karate Mani did the role of Villain. We should have more patience to watch the fight scene between Rajni & Karate Mani. I like the
song "kaathodu Poo Urasa" It run for 100 days.

Cyg:
;-)))R u saying he is asking his grandma to 'konji pEsu'??? ;-)))
Revathy is blind and so I think she may have been given too much respect due to the sympathy on her. But I dont know would be the answer from my end for ur criticism. I have to check the song one more time and see whether I can offer u more eplanation or 'uLaral'. ;-))
For some reason, The Lion King-Simba growing up 'no-good environment' is sort of reminded me Rajni's 'kAttil oru singakuttiyAm' song.
The pluses in that movie are,
*nAgappan nAL vaikkiRathu* which was 'new concept'. Rajni as usual did amazing job in maintaing a wonderful relationship with his 'aNNi'-Sujatha. SuruLirajan jokes. Rathi's second movie with Rajni after murattu kALai and she was a fine heroine. Songs and the Rajni fight were good though this movie was not as successful as annai Or Alayam -a remake of Dharmendra's super-hit 'Maa'. I rate A N A above A O A in my 'special balance'.
