since 2002- almost every tamil movie not doing well and capture tamil movie fan's heart

what happened?

tamil movie industry lack of good stories?

where is the golden touch of great director's such as maniratnam/balachander ?

  It is true, I also arose the same questions at some threads, most times I didn't get a sinle response.
  
  And also, few ppl appriciate different movies ( Anbe Sivam, Solla Marantha Kathai r few examples).

  if this phenomena continues to happen in tamil movie industry...sure in long -term tamil movies will be ignored ....
  
  i think for time being tamil cine must introduce more talented directors n story-teller WHICH HAVE EXTRA BRAVE HEART to give tamil movie with good story lines..........
  
  they should invest more in modern technology of film making just like what HOllywood invest in..
  
  this love story movies cannot stay longer.....there is a lot of stories out there can be taken as a movie..just the matter how capable and of course how BRAVE the movie directors/story-teller are..

  Haha.. And did I mention? Haha... It's not a matter whether there is a lack of good stories.. Coz good stories r coming out all the time.. Take Aalavandhaan, Hey Ram!, Minnalae, Sethu, Kuruthi Punal, Valli, etc.. How many of the ones mentioned were hits? 2.. Minnalae & Sethu.. Abt 33%.. The others all had great stories.. But weren't as great hits.. Why?? Bcoz the tamil audience, not all, but a major portion of it, are not ready for advanced stories like those.. All that majority of audiences want are:
  -5 to 6 sings (at least 2 of which have really
  slutty dancers in really skimpy
  outfits)
  -4 to 5 fight scenes (which have to have strings
  all over the place)
  -Mother Sentiment, Sister Sentiment, Brother
  Sentiment, Thaali Sentiment, Sentiments Galore..
  -Comedy Scenes That Are Based On Totally
  Different Stories..
  
  If this is what they're gonna appreciate, how the hell r new, and different types of stories ever gonna succeed?? And the producers.. They're afraid to invest in high budget movies.. If u're gonna have digital technology in ur movie, would it not be better to spend more, get better quality in greater quantity, rather than spend little, and have poor quality, even if it's only for a few mins... I leave u ppl with those thoughts.. Peace Out..
