saw the movie today at a special screening and the movie was ok. The problem is that one expects a lot from Kamal's movie. The bald kamal (Nandhu) was excellent.

Plus factors

Kamal's acting (Nandu).
Technically the film is excellent.
Graphics to a certain extent.

Minus factors
A scene where bald kamal jumps from a hotel to another building, he will land on top of a big baloon. During that jumping scene, the graphics looked amatuerish.

But the people in the auditorium said that the movie will do well becoz it had lot of masala to it.

Being a kamal fan i hope the movie does well. Anyway if you are a kamal fan you should NOT miss this movie just for the bald kamal's acting.

But hey today I saw Paartale Paravasm too and that movie is not too good either.

  To bring a change in tamil films will be a difficult task. Look at the movies that are doing well.
  
  Thavasi. How long will they keep taking movies involving a father and son. Atleast the father and son can be played by two different actors. Why by the same hero??? I think after Nattamai, many movies like this have released in tamil. And only these films run well.
  
  Even a good film like Nandhaa is not doing well at the box office.
  
  I think Aalavandaan is a average movie even though Kamal is acting in the movie. The tremondous expectations was the reason for the failure of this film. Though there have been reports of the producer will not make a loss with this movie. Still I think this was a bad movie from Kamal.
  
  Regarding Hey Ram, with the type of story which was dealt in the film, i thought the screenplay was perfect. I liked the movie and really enjoyed it. The movie may be slow but with that kind of story waht do you expect??? Amistad was a tremondous movie by Speilberg but the movie did not do commercially well becoz it was slow and dragging.   Great acting by kamal, especially the nandhu character was superb!!!, excellennt acting as psycho.
  
  Kamal is trying to take Tamil films into new dimensions, but some narrow minded tamilians will not accept this, Kamal tries to make the movie as realistic as possible, but some might argue that it is rude (the seductive & sex scenes).
  
  The telegu verison of alavndhan (abhey) was Dubbed by SPB, SPB dubbed his voice for kamal, all the songs were sung by SPB!, the telugu version songs sounds far better than the tamil version!
  
  True credit to kamal; this is coming from a Hardcore Super* Rajni & Raghuvaran fan.
  
  Oh BTW, what is "thalaivar's" next movie, can not wait 2 c it!

  I like that, 'thinking in tangent'. Since when did we all think alike. What I offered was not a counter-argument nor are they another arguments. I was just making some points with regards to yours. But they were never understood, or refused to be understood. When one is determined with one's own perception and understanding, then forget it, he or she is never gonna accept any others. I suppose that goes for me too. I am equally guilty. But it was fun. You are one of the better participants of this forum. I hope to have more point-offering session with you.
